Superb hotel on beautiful island. Exceptional view from the balcony and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. The best thing in hotel is morning coffee in the lobby bar terrace looking at the see with breeze bringing smell of the sea. Sometimes it's not easy to find the room since there are several connected parts of the hotel.
Amazing location, rooms were clean and well maintained They seemed to struggle with customer service and communication prior and during stay but hopefully as it is coming into season the staff just need time to adjust. Overall satisfied with the stay.
Absolutely fantastic stay. Great staff. Great facilities, great food. Would come back every year if I can
It's an excellent property and 1 of the best place to stay in hvar.. Close to the beach.. Close to the centre.. Close from the port.. Next to the beautiful sunset point.. ND also one of worlds best Bar and Pub - Hula Hula.. Great views from the rooms and the beach side pontos.. It's just PERFECT !!!! The breakfast and in house food is awesome
We really enjoyed our stay at the Amfora Grand Beach resort. The hotel itself is currently undergoing construction, but if you look past that, you can see a very modern and fantastic hotel. The pool is top notch, the rooms very very comfortable and spacious, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. I had to knock off one star for all of the major construction that is currently happening. But once its complete, it'll be a top tier destination resort!
Amazing location with a breath taking view. The staff was extremely helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. Best experience!!
Elegant, luxury hotel that feels like a large resort. Nice, large pool. Free parking. 10 min walk next to the sea to old town Hvar. Delicious breakfast and dinner with lots of choices and amazing views. For cigar lovers, they also have an on site humidor with good selection of cigars. Friendly staff.
The room was very large and very comfortable. It was on the higher side price wise but the amenities justified it. Make sure if you arrive by ferry to not miss the luggage transport on arrival, otherwise you have to walk with your bags all the way around the harbour. Bit of pain with multiple bags.
We really wanted to love this hotel but it didn't quite live up to expectations or the high price tag. Overall the pool area was amazing. It felt very much like a high end hotel in Mexico or Jamaica. Service was amazing, we could always find loungers and the pool itself was beautiful. Main complaint there were the wasps. They are constantly flying about and bothering you.
Where the hotel loses a star is the room. We had the superior double room with sea view so were really expecting this to be better given it was nearly €400 a night which is more than we usually spend. The room was SMALL and really awkward in how the space was utilized. The bathroom had a frosted glass wall so if my husband went to the washroom at night the entire room would light up. The mirror in the bathroom was on the right side wall and you had to pull it out of the wall to use it. Strange. Then the blow dryer was in a drawer outside of the bathroom in the closest and you had to use a small mirror inside to do your hair. On top of that, the plugin in the bathroom could only handle a low voltage shaver so I had to plug in my curling iron next to the bed because that was the only other space that had a mirror so I was crammed between the wall and bed anytime I wanted to do my hair. The view itself though was beautiful and we took advantage of the balcony, but in the end I would never pay this much again for that room even though I liked most other things about the hotel.
Location is great with a beautiful 10 minute walk into the centre and close to a beach and some beach clubs.
As some other reviewers said, there are a lot of steps and distances between things here so if you can't get around easily you may struggle here.
Nice room, lovely views and an awesome pool. Fairly priced menu for bar food although drinks a little more expensive. Great breakfast and friendly staff. A really easy place to relax in and only a 10 minute walk into the town. Air con is ok but in our room is want that cool but comfortable enough to sleep in.
Lovely hotel. The room was a little run down and the "king" bed was a little small, but we had a wonderful time here. Just outside the city of Hvar, it has spectacular views of the sea and surrounding islands. Breakfast was decent but get very busy. Located right on the boardwalk so walking to the city or surrounding area is wonderful. Hopefully we'll be back.
Stunning hotel - think one of the only ones with a big pool on the island. Great views from the rooms and breakfast. Agree with previous post - not black out blinds which is a pain but can't have it all.
Also - the beach club often has weddings at night which have really loud music. If you're at the hotel/ in your room at midnight this may bother you - but most nights we were in town still.
Highly recommended for family's and couples too. Pricey but worth it :)
Great spot wonderful location with helpful staff. Standard rooms are small we had a suite which was huge with a great view. Some minor maintenance issues but nothing that could not be forgiven.
It was amazing! The hotel was beautiful, the food was great
The pool looked teally cool, but it was cold so I dodn't go swimming at it!
I had the best experiance, great staff, great view, very good rooms. Food is very good, and the swimming pool is just the best.
Everything was wonderful and lovely. Design wise they did strike out on the bathrooms though. Shower soaked the floor every time and for some reason the toilet is built into an uncomfortable lacquered mdf box.
I have a bit of a love hate relationship with this hotel. I love the pool and the location. And to be honest the service is pretty decent too. However, it's clear the air conditioning is broken in the north wing even though they worked hard to fix it in my room (they did manage to get the a/c going but it's bloody loud) and the north wing is just so far from any where in the hotel. If I had stayed in the south wing and had never experienced the run down nature of the north I wonder how my review would read.
