Paul, Mary and Larry made us feel like family. The setting and villas are exceptional! The new outdoor kitchen is the perfect place to grill your fresh catch of the day and meet the other guests to make new friends. Thanks also to Rosa and Carlos for taking such good care of us. See you next year!!

This resort is beautiful and the accommodations are excellent, clean, and very comfortable! The attention to detail is impeccable and so cute. The beach is great, we loved sitting on the dock in the hammock! The owners and staff are friendly and make sure you have everything you need. This is a great place to relax and enjoy the jungle and island life. I will recommend this resort to everyone!!

Great crew and an amazing location on Roatan. Short (rocky) walk to West End or nice chill walk to West Bay. If you take their shuttle from the airport they stop at the food store where you can stock up before you head to your cabin.
Rooms are clean and their wifi is very decent by Island standards, I've gone here to work remotely twice and it's been do-able. Bring bug repellent and after-bite cream, you will get bitten (that is true for the entire island). Bring sunscreen, island sun is strong!
It's the perfect island experience (just remember you are on an island, things move on island time). Paul, Larry and Mary are incredibly helpful and if you are coming to snorkel or dive I highly recommend Dennise and Clearwater Adventures, their shop is at your doorstep (literally!). I've been there twice and look forward to next time.response / report this review -

First time in Roatan and at the Turtle beach Dive Resort! May '17.
Since it was my first time in Roatan I didn't know what to expect and where exactly the small, quaint, owner Paul on site Resort was? If your ok with a small resort this is great and the first caribbean island i've been to that you have no need for a nice dress shirt!
To my pleasant surprise it was about a 4min $3 water taxi ride ($5 by car, 6min)to West End where a lot of restaurants and bars are and it was about a 8min $3 water taxi ride to West Bay beach (10min $5 by car) which is one of the nicest beaches in Roatan and a tourist area.
About a $30 taxi ride from Coxen hole where the Airport is and saw to it that I was picked up and taken to the grocery store before i made it to turtle beach resort.
Paul the owner, his sister Mary and her husband Larry couldn't have been better!!! They go out of their way to please! Rosa the great housekeeper will even cook for you if you want, and Carlos sees to the landscaping and makes sure you have bottled water in the cabin or room! There is a beautiful dock to sit out on. This is a no frills cabin accommodations but everything you need located on or off the beach. A very clean friendly place! I will definitely be backPaul the owner even upgraded me at no extra charge! I had a great 2 weeks there! Breakfast in, packed a lunch an dinner out either to west end or west bay.
May is the off season and slow in Roatan so you won't see a ton of people anywhere on the beaches or at any of the restaurants in West end or West bay. My scuba diving was through Clearwater adventures, Denisse is a great dive master right there at the Turtle beach resort and the diving is only $45 everywhere. Perfect location on the island. Private beach between West End and West Bay. Beautiful cabins and villas. So many details make this the most beautiful place on the island: only waterfall on the beach, palapa dock with swing and hammock, observation deck, drawbridge, outdoor seating and grills, pool, kayaks, paddle boards and beautifully appointed villas! All villas and cabins have full stainless steel kitchens, custom stone and tile baths, Wifi and A/C. All the reviews on Airbnb, VRBO and Trip Advisor are 5 star. Dive shop on site is 5 star as well!! And that is because of 5 star service!!

We have traveled to many beautiful destinations over the years, but this tops our list. Beautiful surroundings, outstanding snorkeling/scuba diving and everything you need at the resort to make your day perfect. Turtle Beach hosts were very accommodating and attentive when needed, but gave us the privacy that we desired as well. We loved our trip to Roatan and will definitely be back.
