The ruins are absolutely amazing. I would encourage all who can make the journey to do so. That isn't a close airport and the drive can be long and taxiing, but worth it.

Ruins are interesting but many things have been rebuilt ans the jerogliphic stairs are covered with tarpaulin so you cannot really see them that much. Macaws were reintroduced in the area when they haven't been living there for a long time
Cost is a bit dear for foreigners 15 usd person

Awesome place to go and see history. Much of the ruins is preserved very well. You even get to tour the the interior of some of the structures and view thier sports arena. I would recommend getting a guide that can explain what each statue and building is. Many of the guides are bilingual in case you don't speak Spanish.

This place is pretty interesting simply because of the parrots that are everywhere But to me it wasn’t anything special. If you have never seen any ruins before then I would say for sure check it out. But if you’ve been to other ones this might not be the best one to see. If you do decide to go I would suggest getting a guide just to explain some of the history to make it more interesting. This was the first place out of many ruins I’ve been to that had tunnels and you can go inside which was really cool

If your into history this is a great place to visit. To think thousands of years ago this place was very busy. Now only tourist. Allow at least 2 hours or more if possible to take in all the buildings and structures. The Mayans where very clever.

Very interesting Mayan ruins. Not as spectacular as Tikal, especially the buildings are not as tall. But there are many statues to see and carvings on the temples. Some tunnels are also to visit but you my pay extra. The museum has a nice replica of the red a Rosalila temple. Tho reach the site, walk straight from the east gate of the city until you pass the bus station and the gas station.

Copán was truly amazing! I highly recommend making to trek out there. It is somewhat difficult to get there if you have limited time but Casasola bus is your best option.

Had a wonderful experience exploring this once forgotten pre-columbian city situated in the jungle. Most amazing place complemented by an excellent museum nearby.

Our tour of Copan began with a small site museum. From there we walked to the Principal Group consisting of a huge plaza and acropolis complex. The hieroglyphic stairway is awesome. The central plaza has numerous monumental stelae. On the acropolis there are a series of tunnels under several buildings that are open to tourists. The lighted tunnels allow you to see various construction stages where a new temple was built with a slightly different exterior shape upon an older existing temple. When walking across the central plaza a spectacular flock of macaws flew overhead squawking all the way. Copan is actively working to restore the presence of scarlet macaws. In summary visiting Copan is a serene and spiritual experience. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for good reasons.

Excellent ruins and really well maintained. Could spend all day walking around. Parrots as soon as you walk in we're amazing to see on their own. Would recommend the tour guide, you get so much information from the kings to the symbols and animals etc.

Excellent experience exploring the ruins. 15 USD entry. The museum on site is also impressive and well worth the 7 USD. Site is beautiful and accessible. Highly recommend a guide.

Been wanting to go to Copan Ruins since I was a kid. I was not disappointed. Macaws flying overhead as we toured the ruins. It's spectacular and awe inspiring . The price was very affordable. Go on a weekday and get there early.

Amazing place, One of the best well conserved structures in Central America, I would recommend to pay for the guided tour as this place is rich in history and intersting facts. The entrance is $10 USD. And it is just 10 minutes by car from Copan Ruinas city.

Very cool experience. Awesome seeing the history of what the Mayans created years ago. Worth a visit. For Honduran residents, be sure to use your card for a reduced rate.

The buildings are not comparable to other Mayan ruins nearby like Tikal (Guatemala) , Xunantunich or Cahal Pech (Belize). Here you can see fine details and sculptures. Easy access from the village. Takes about 15-20 minutes to go to the ticket sale by walk.
