Seems like it's a great museum and many people recommended it to us. At the moment the main exhibit about the history of Honduras is closed. The two exhibitions although good in their own right do not justify the admission price. Check to see if the history exhibit is open before going in.
I visited today and while the permanent history exhibit was closed for renovations, there were two excellent exhibits or origami (with lempiras!) and a series of Goya drawings. The best part of the museum was the guide who was so friendly and knowledge. Had a great chat with him. Plus there’s a great coffee shop in the museum. An absolute must-visit if you’re in Tegus/Honduras!!
A must if you're visiting Tegucigalpa. It has a beautiful and large history room that tells you everything you need to know about Honduras. You can even ask for a guide (for free) that will walk you through the whole museum. Concerts are periodically held in the middle of the building, the staff is young and extremely nice and always willing to help you. There's also a cafe and a merch store.
One of the only museums in the capital. Includes a good café. Top cultural destination in Tegucigalpa.
Nice looking restored building, seemed like a good number of rooms were not being used during my visit. Historical wing on second floor was informative though.
Having different kind of activities, special exhibitions and different artists, for all kind of people lovely
Great place to visit, great paintings and the history behind the building is awesome.
Attended a cocktail. Very nice!
Great mueso right downtown. I would recommend it to anyone visiting tegus.
The best museum in the city, a mixture of culture antique and contemporary, a beautiful classical building
This is a very good place to have a look at the culture of Tegucigalpa. There is always something new to see here.
Needs more attractions
Great museum in the historical down town of Tegucigalpa.
Excellent expositions & activities!
It's a great place to understand Honduran history.
