Great little place tucked away up in the hills of utila. As soon as you get off the ferry you walk straight up the road 6 or so minutes and you can't miss it. Beautiful garden grounds, pool in the courtyard, restaurant and bar on the grounds, dorms, private rooms and private cabins to book. Air conditioning at extra charge but available in private room (don't know about others as I only stayed in a private). They do have a shuttle service to the utila dive center (UDC) they are in partnership with. If you book dives through UDC you get cheaper rates at mango Inn. The only issues i had is that it is a walk to get to the main strip of utila and about 15 minutes walk to UDC. You can rent bicycles and scooters and golf carts at Bodden rentals to get around. The other issue are the roads beside the grounds have a ton of traffic on them with loud motorcycles travelling alot. Bring earplugs.

My wife and I came here for 10 days with her parents. We stayed in the cottage in the back of the property (2 bdrm, 1 bath, kitchen, living room, dining, screened in front porch)
The staff cleaned it every day, fresh towels, friendly and kind. The front office team is very helpful, friendly and always try to please.
The Bar and grill offers up the comp breakfast, eggs, toast, bacon, potatoes, aka Island breakfast, is the best thing on that menue For breakfast. The yogurt is home made, so pucker up.
The pizza on any night is great! The music a thrower back to 60, 70& 80's love it!
It's far enough away from the main strip not to be loud, but for sure walking to main st is easy. Don't miss the local bakery (first building left side) when going to main st.
The largest grocery is Bush's, and there are plenty of small shops and carts to get your food and supplies from.

Hostel muy acogedor. Habitaciones limpias, y amplias. Opcion de baño privado. Cerca de la calle principal de Utila. Servicio de recogida en el muelle. Desayuno incluido. Recepción cierra por la noche. Limpieza diaria de la habitación. Piscina. Restaursnte en el interior. Los martes 2x1 de buenas pizzas. Recomendable

This place is absolutely excellent value for money!
It has a lovely pool (with two jacuzzi tubs that aren't powered in summer) it has a number of dorms and private rooms, all with fans so you don't overheat.
Beds are changed on a daily basis and there are small lockers to lock your valuables.
And the best thing of all is if you're here for your scuba diving lessons, you can get this accommodation included in the price at Utila Diving Centre Best money I've spent travelling so far!response / report this review
