I have just completed two wonderful weeks of Spanish School at Ixbalanque, this being my second visit to Copan and Ixbalanque. I got out of the school exactly what I wanted, after my first two weeks I had some basic understanding of grammar and how to have a basic conversation. I am amazed how much more I was able to learn this time. Its because of the wonderful instruction I received. Copan is a beautiful, quiet and safe town where practicing with the locals is possible. The school also sets up students with great home stays close to the school. I can't wait to return.

My teacher was knowledgeable, patient and caring. The teaching materials were second rate at best. The class room lighting was so poor that you couldn't read the materials.
My host family was located several blocks away from the school but within comfortable walking distance. They provided excellent service, delicious meals and genuine friendship. Ask to stay with Lourdes and Luis.response / report this review -

Fantastic school in a beautiful town. My teacher was very skilled and was able to adapt to my learning style. In two weeks I feel like my Spanish has advanced more than in the last 2 years! The homestay I stayed in felt more like a hotel with tv and en-suite bathroom with a fantastic home cooked food in plentiful quantities. I've been to similar schools and homestays in both Antigua and Xela and whilst they were also good, if I was to choose one to return to it would be this one.
