I have stayed at this place many times over the years and have always enjoyed my stay. Roberto Mendoza runs the place and he speaks fluent English, is fun to chat with, and is very knowledgable about the area. This is not the Hilton by any means but it is clean and safe. I paid 450 lempiras per night compared to 850 at the now closed Mario Chavez across the street.
He no longer sells chicken but has a few cold ones in the fridge that are very reasonable, about a buck each. Beer and soda for about a buck. What could be better?
There are a couple rooms with AC and there is wifi!
This is a good stop off for tourists with weak Spanish like mine. The people in El Paraiso are friendly, helpful, and nice to interact with. Enjoy yourself here.response / report this review -
