I will never be able to adequately put into words how amazing Blue Island Divers is. From the first minute contact with the incredible and lovely Maria we were made to feel as though we belonged with Blue Island Divers. Not only did the entire staff take care of every thing we askded for but they did so is such a fashion that made us feel more like family and a part of the entire operation. Owner Eric took the time to talk to us on a personal level, Manager Vasco made sure that we were well taken care of. Dive Masters George and Emily and Boat Captain Jacob were the most amazing crew a person could ask for. Their attention to detail is second to none. The entire crew took the time to understand who we were as people and as divers so that they could plan dives that were designed specifically for us and our abilities. I am a professional diver with over 500 hours bottom time. Over the past 27 years I have dove all over the world with some of the best dive operations that various countries have to offer and never have I had a better dive experience than with Blue Island Divers. BLUE ISLAND DIVERS is with out a doubt the best dive charter in the world. You will not be disappointed. HUGE THANKS to MARIA, GEORGE, EMILY, JACOB, VASCO and ERIC. YOU FOLKS ARE THE BEST

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! My family, plus a friend, and I had the best experience with Blue Island Divers. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! We honestly felt like we've known them forever. My 13-year old step-daughter, her friend and I are beginner divers, so prior to coming here, were a bit nervous about exploring anything more than fun, day dives. However, after our first dive, our comfort levels rose, thanks to our Blue Island Diver friends. (A special thanks to Emily) Now, we were ready to explore something more adventurous and ended up doing a night dive (with ceviche waiting for us at the end of the dive - thanks Maria!), a SHARK dive (AMAZING!), and a Wreck dive (incredible and definitely a must)! Thank you, George! You were AWESOME!
I can't express enough how great Blue Island Divers are and how they made this experience a memorable one. My family and I loved that we were treated as if we were family and not just another group of tourists visiting the island. We will definitely be back!response / report this review -

Feels like a home away from home.
The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. Classes for scuba certification were exceptional and tailored to each student. I was terrified to start but with help and constant reassurance, I certified as a open water scuba diver. Exceptional.response / report this review -

I had wanted to go diving again for about 5 years. I had been certified for years, but now living in Virginia, I do not have the opportunity to very often. So when I knew I was going on a cruise to Roatan, I had to get back into it.
After taking a refresher course, I contacted Blue Island Divers to book my dive. SO GLAD I DID! They were amazing. They arranged travel for me and my group or 8 (They snorkeled while I dove), they provided all my gear, and even loaded it all on the boat for me. Both of the instructors were great.
For my 1st dive they took our small group out to the reef (which was so close it was visible from the shore). I was amazed at how fast the shelf dropped off and by how deep I could see because the water was so clear.
On my 2nd dive it was just me and the 2 instructors (Yes, an unexpected private dive!) through all the coral formations in a shallower part of the reef.
Overall it was an amazing experience and I could not have asked for a better way to spend my time in Roatan. Put in the extra effort to get to Blue Island Divers as it is absolutely worth it!response / report this review -

We arranged everything from the states and Vasco was easy to work with and provided information every step of the way. We finished our certification here and our instructor, Nico was patient and very knowledgeable. The boat captains, Jacob and Alton were very friendly and helpful as well. They even picked us up for a small fee from the resort we are staying. The restaurant located on the premises was very good as we had a great lunch after our dive.
Just an overall positive experience! Give them a try and they will take care of you.

As an experienced diver - demanding sometimes - i always seek for the ultimate when i go for diving Vocations.
Blue Island divers are among the best centres i have dived with.

I just returned home from my new home-away-from-home! What a great secluded property with it's own private beach and a quaint casita that was equipped with everything I needed for my week-long stay there. The staff -- Elton, Ernesto, Jacob and Maria -- became dear friends immediately and the diving was incredible! Ernesto made sure of it! He took me to a different dive site for each dive, including two wrecks; all located within just minutes of the property by boat. And less surface time means more bottom time!! As a PADI certified Dive Master I can appreciate that! We dove some of the world's largest and stunning coral reefs where we we saw green and spotted moray eels, eagle rays, sting rays, sea turtles, balloon fish, rainbow and midnight parrot fish, huge groupers, snappers and barracuda to name a few. And to top off an already perfect trip they built a bonfire and threw a party for me the night before I left. I can't thank them enough for making my experience in their beautiful Sandy Bay on their beautiful island of Roatan one that I will not forget. I miss you guys already! And I'll be back to my new home-away-from-home soon!!

The entire crew at Blue Island divers are top notch and so friendly. Ernesto was really good with the kids while he guided them through the open water dive course. They make you feel right at home and are super attentive. I would highly recommend anybody wanting to dive the North shore or West end of the island to stop in Blue Island Divers.

I completed my open water certification at Blue Island this year. The instructors were so knowledgable and patient, I always felt like i was in good hands even when i was unsure of myself. I worked with Yago for much of my training and he was super encouraging and helpful. After a few hours in the water i was having fun and feeling very motivated. Learning to dive at BID has been one of the most rewarded experiences of my life. The dive sites we visited were absolutely spectacular. Even after 7 dives there are sites i have yet to visit. Amazing people, amazing coral reefs, and an excellent learning environment. I would definitely suggest this place for everyone from people looking to learn diving to old pros. If i could give it 6 stars I would.

The people are great, me and my family lobed it here. Their kids are nice. You've got 2 bedrooms. But the scuba makes up for that. Hope yall stay here it amazing
