Nice setting, though far from the beach. Milady is kind but maybe a bit over the top. She'll keep talking. When we arrived she explained for 5 minutes if we "peepee or poopoo the bed" we have to buy her another one. Not the nicest way to arrive on a vacation with the host saying "don't $hit the bed"

Ok so here is probably the longest and most complete review I have ever written, because Chez Milady is totally worth it!
First, Milady she is PURE LOVE. Seriously, I had never had such an amazing dedicated and helpful host! From the moment you arrive she expends a reasonable amount of time explaining the rules of her home. Then we had continuous to-dos and not-to-do advises, including encouragement to go out and visit places despite bad weather conditions, which was the best because the sky cleared after some hours and we had an amazing time everywhere we went! She also gave us some lifts to the town center whenever she could and told us the history of the place and of some special characters as Dr. John.
The facilities are so nice!!! It is a real ecolodge with the perfect mix of nature and everything you need to fell super comfy. The rooms are big, the apartments are complete with everything you need and everything is super clean, nice and comfortable. The place is a perfectly peaceful and natural paradise, with perfect location close enough to the city center. Please note that as a natural sanctuary you get to merge with nature, plants, natural soil and cohabit with some bugs and small animals, so it is neither dirty nor unsanitary! It is NATURAL and you are obliged to ADAPT to THEIR environment and protect yourself with repellent, instead of trying to kill everything that moves.
If there is a place that makes you feel like home, so away from it, c'est Chez Milady.
Seriously, people that had rated low Chez Milady on ANY aspect are very limited, possibly ignorant about nature, and narrow-minded. The place is as perfect as it could be.response / report this review -

Absolutely beautiful location! This is not a hotel. Rather, this is a lady's home with guest houses. We are travelers, not tourists. So when we travel, we like to live like the locals. If you are looking for a friendly place to stay, away from the hustle & bustle of the city, here's your place!

Excellent accommodations for long term diving adventures and training. Quiet location with stunning sunrises. The hosting and client service is exceptional. For those seeking reasonable rates for their IDC training or Tec Rec long term stay this is the location of choice away from the distractions of Utila.
