Great University and lots of space to rest and relax. The place is quiet and comfortable with cafeterias and much libaries.

One of top Universities in Hong Kong. It is also the first university here. Many buildings were built long time ago so it is worth a visit just to see its architecture alone.

It is very interesting to walk around. You can feel the higher education atmosphere here. When you are tired, there are places for rest, eating and drinking.

It's the top university in HK with classic and modern buildings. There are two parts, the old classical part and the new modern part. You can choose to see the part if you are in a rush. It's a beautiful place but there is an increase of visitors due to the new connection of MTR. But still, it's interesting to see.

This place is pretty big and there are many high level blocks here. There's nice food if you need it so yea. And most importantly starbucks. I cant comment on the curriculum but it is a pretty good university in Hong Kong so yea its pretty good I guess.

HKU main campus is really beautiful. It’s not very big but there are several nice historical buildings.

In the old days, it was hard to get to the University, and I was privileged to have the opportunity to travel to and from the University for four years (1981-1984). I attended lectures and tutorials mostly at Kowles Building. It is a lot easier to get to the University now, as there is a "Hong Kong University" MTR stop!

Plenty of open space for the public to do exercise, tai chi, and hang out, which is not a common sight in other local universities due to distance from residential area and transport accessibility. People make the campus alive!
Special design/architectural highlights:
1) Like Central's business area, the HKU campus was designed in such a way that most buildings can be accessed under cover (HK can get lots of sun and rain!)
2) The campus may seem "small" but that's because it is situated against a hillslope and HK is famous for its hilly terrain.
3) Follow the footsteps of Dr Sun Yat-Sen at the historic Main Building.
4) One of the popular hiking trails leading you to the Peak is just at the northern upper end of the campus. The steep trail head would give you an intense cardio workout!
5) Get on the upper deck of any bus that goes down to Sheung Wan via the Hill Road for a unique roller-coaster-like experience in between HK's vernacular high-rises!response / report this review -

Back to my alma mater couple of months ago. Seems lots of changes around. Now feel more vibrant and lively. Personally I think this is the best university in the world.

just briefly walk through the university for finding the place having dinner. the atmosphere was not compatiable to Korean universities. My feeling something deeper and historical! Recommend just go

Graduated from HKU! Didn't like the food on campus, but enjoyed being an undergrad there :) Highly recommend taking pictures in front of the Main Building, one of the iconic buildings at HKU!

Top rated university worldwide that has 3 pleasant campuses (Main Campus, Centennial Campus, and Sassoon Road Campus), is close to downtown (Sheung Wan and Central), and is served by metro.
