Decided to go up with the bus. But went to a wrong bus station. The bus 15 only operating at 10am near the central pier. If you plan for earlier departure, can board at the admiralty bus station.
The trip is about 40minutes with the bus. Along the journey, you will see Hong Kong rich people mansion 😅 👍
The building at the peak is having its face-lift. But the peak itself is still operating and shopping is still good.
Walk around there near early evening is good for you to experience and see both the day and night scenery of hongkong

The best place to have get a beautiful vantage point of Hongkong and the harbor. Come visit in the late afternoon to see how the city transforms from daylight into an urban jungle with electric lights. You can also see the stunning, dancing lights from the major buildings in Hong Kong. You'll be in for a visual treat!

Great view. The tram ride is very well priced. And suggest you to take the tram. The wait is not much. The rides are quite frequent.
You find a decent layout and find places to grab a quick bite.
Pretty much get a good view of hongkong from here.

The place to see Hong Kong's cityscape, both sides of the bay. The tram ride up, well, as you've maybe read about it, the lines are really long. But if you go a bit earlier, like 9ish or so, the lines aren't anywhere near the dreaded 1-2 hour wait horror stories you've heard. And at $77 for a one way and $90 for a return, it's a bit pricey. There can be discounts if you order online through a travel agency to go with a group, explore that option. But I very much enjoyed the tram ride - it has a steep incline which is a bit scary at first (and I got flashbacks from the previous day's rides at Disneyland which didn't help), but this tram is super safe and has never had an accident.

I don't advice anyone to pay to go up to the terrace if you're just going for the view. You'll get pretty stunning views from the ground at that level. Just be aware there are days when pollution doesn't let you see anything. Luckily I didn't experienced any of that. You can go up walking if you have the time. I recommend people to take the tram on your way up and walk down.

If you want to see the skyline of Hong Kong, this is THE place. Preferably getting there by tram, it's a really nice plaza (shopping mall) with several restaurants and cafes but the most important part it has a rooftop/terrace on top of the mall where you can take amazing pictures of the city. There's a ticket to go to the terrace but if you buy a tram ticket to the peak, the terrace is included.

DO NOT GO WITH A FULL BLADDER!

Before I start on the overall experience, I must warn women to not ascend the peak of you even slightly need the toilet. With 3 ladies toilets max on each floor, and approx 30 ladies in the queue for them, my post-cola bladder was unhappy to say the least. Unsurprisingly the whole of Victoria Peak was RAMMED. Far too many people with no where near enough space or facilities.

Onto the tram. Costing around £10 for the tram and the sky terrace, this at first seems cheap for such a landmark. However the QUEUES ARE ENORMOUS. Queuing for an hour at the bottom to go up AND an hour just to get back down. We spent about 30 minutes admiring the view, which is indeed amazing. But do not get the tram! Get a group and go in a taxi or we heard the bus is cheap too.

All in all amazing views but the whole experience was stressful, chaotic and exhausting.

Located at the highest point in one of the Hong Kong mountain in Hong Kong Island, The Peak offers the beautiful natural scenery of HK that presenting Hong Kong in a way that ocean meets mountains also land surrounded with skyscraper. The observation deck in The Peak was named Sky Terrace, and when you go there after 9 or 10 am, be prepared to face a long queue of people. Because to go to the top of The Peak, you must first ride The Peak Tram, and with the limited seat we must wait for our turn. When I go there in early 2017, I use fast access from Klook so you don't have to wait for a long time.

Offers a superb view of the city! To get up to Victoria Peak one can either take the Peak Tram or hike via the many different trails - personally I found the latter to be more enjoyable as you can stop as you please to enjoy the surroundings and the views along the way. The tram ride is a quick one up to the peak but depending on where you are seated you may not get the best view.

The "Peak" houses the the Peak Galleria - it has a number of shops but pricing points tend to be a bit high given it is a popular tourist destination.

Expect plenty of crowds - be they tourists or school children on field trips!

The views from up here are great! We took the bus 15 to avoid the massive lines for the tram. You have to pay $50hkd to go to the top viewing platform of the mall, the viewing platform to the right of the mall is basically just as good. It kind of looks like a small temple, just walk past the tram line and the malls.

I always visit the peak when I am in Hong Kong. If you don’t want to travel to the peak by cable tram (scenic but sometimes very crowded with a long wait) then light bus no. 1 (from near the cable tram station) is cheap, quick and a good alternative. Taxi from Admiralty is also quick, easy and very reasonably priced. Good views of the city and harbour can also be had for free from the path beside the cable tram terminal at the peak.

Quite limited items for sales. Mainly food stores there. Great view of the Peak on 2/F balcony. However there are renovating on half of the Mall (including the balcony and children playground) Oct 2017

Although expensive and usually packed, it has a variety of both recognisable stores and some unique oddball ones. Head here for the full view of Hong Kong at the rooftop! But you have to pay and also wait in line, so you might also get a very clear view from some of the paths to the right of the galleria.

Not sure y they had to build the galleria. U don't need to pay n go to upper deck. Just walk out and ul get amazing view The peak in itself is great very picturesque

Interesting Architecture for a shopping centre and lots of restuarants to appreciate the view - however the shopping centre has really poor signage and makes it impossible to find the outdoor viewing deck (which is just as good as the shopping centre one and FREE)

A good 4hours to half day event on your trip. better time to visit would be in the evening after a sunset . Great view of entire Hongkong skyline . Must take cable tram to reach this point.

The place is really good. Lots of brands store to choose from. Toilets are pretty good (thereis also ones that could use hygiene improvement). Sells a lot of souvenirs too.

Nice place for weekend gateway. Romantic and nice view. Over looking. They have souvenir shops for tourist and wax museum. You have to pay if you want to see the wax. Nice place to go for the tourist

A must-go for every first Hong Kong visit. You see great day and night views there as long the sky is clear. I was trying to look for a Segafredo Expresso Bar to get a coffee, unfortunately only Starbucks and Pacific Coffee were found in the 2 malls.

It's top of the hill.view is amazing from here.you can see complete hongkong from here.any time you can be here either in day or night but in night the view from here is full of lights is just amazing .
They charge you for the view but it's worth paying for the ticket.
As per my experience it's good to board bus and go to the peak .The bus trip is quite scary and at the time of return get the TRAM ,slanted tram will bring you down with great view in just few minutes

Long queue that extends across the road to go up to the peak even on weekdays. Had to cab up to save time.

The Peak Galleria also doesn't offer much in terms of shopping variety. It does offer a nice view of Hong Kong sky lines.

Stayed here to watch the change from day to dusk and Hong Kong just looked beautiful. We also walked the trail around the peak and spent half a day here, the weather was great which really helped. Loved it.
