Not too busy and a very clean and beautiful beach, while difficult to get to, it's worth it.

One of the best beach with very nice view of Hong Kong country area! Camp site with water supply & washroom nearby and closed to store/ small shop which you can buy your hot meal & ice cool soft drink there, nice place to visit if you love Hong Kong countryside.

西灣營地, 是麥理浩徑第二段中其中一個營地, 退潮後石群中常有蟹仔, 寄居蟹及海星, 更有海膽。雖然未有看到, 卻見一個個被吃了肉的海膽殼, 實在令人髲指, 這樣破壞環境, 有天必失去一個美麗的地方, 希望露營的人懂珍惜。
營地舒適, 而且有可能近距離見到直昇機, 因此處有一個直昇機坪, 不過見到直昇機, 多數是有意外發生了。
附近有一個廁所, 一天一到兩次清潔, 不太乾淨, 不過不能要求太多。另外, 若糧食不足, 可到西灣村吃東西。當然價錢非常貴。但有時要用錢解決問題, 不可計較那麼多。其中一間賣豆腐花的店 , 少女細看一下, 其實樣子挺漂亮 , 當然各花入各眼, 留下功課, 太家自己目測吧。
在沙灘中, 不時有俊男美女, 當日就見到兩位穿內衣的美女在走動,沒寫錯,真的是內衣, 沒穿其他, 只能說年輕人太願意分享了! 叫人在炎炎的日子, 不禁涼了不少~
影相的人們要小心沙入相機, 因沙比較細, 易吹起, 影日落因有山拍不到, 日出則要看天氣, 晚上可拍下天上的星星, 但留意溫差可能令鏡頭有水氣而影響成像。另外一提, 晚上睡覺, 可能會聽到嚇人的嘚嘚嘚嘚聲音在地上傳來, 其實只是蟹仔在晚上辛勤工作, 挖沙洞。response / report this review -

Lovely place for camping, water quality is the best in Hong Kong. Stores are nearby, just a long walk from closest public road.

Tai Long Sai Wan Campsite is very small,and you may need to camp on other parts of the beach during holidays.The campsite is mostly covered by ground plants,which is very annoying.The campsite has no shade area,so the views is brilliant,but sun and rain can bring you problems.Please be aware of the tide as the difference is large in low and high tide.Do not camp too far away near the water when the tide is low.Camp near the (timber line).
Here are a few quick facts of Tai Long Sai Wan:
1.Cows may visit the beach and campsite.You do not need to be scared of the cows.They are very tame.
2.You need to hike through the whole Sai Wan road as there had been a landslide on a particular section of the road on twenty-something of May.The construction workers has been working on the road to clear the path.During this time,the minibus route 29R is cancelled and you can only hike in to Sai Wan Pavilion.You may be able to take the minibus to Sai Wan Pavilion before August,when the road is cleared and safe for cars to pass.
3.There are three small restaurants selling food and drinks near the campsite.One sells speed boat tickets.Every day,speed boats(fast boats) can bring you from Tai Long Sai Wan to Sai Kung Public Pier in just about half an hour. The ride is amazing and exciting.The fee is $150 for fast boats,and $110 for slow boats,which takes about one hour.
4.There is a fine washroom,a helicopter landing pad and Sai Wan beach next to the campsite.response / report this review -
