Combination of older books at discounts, some cheap travel books (HK$30-50) along with some of the hot best sellers. A lot of interior design and photography books too! Adult language books were a bit lacking -- tons and tons of children books (phonics and children's stories) and fiction. Some SAT study books and the likes.

The staff are helpful and even when they didn't have a book they were happy to order one for me.

I'll definitely return, thank you!

I found 2 books I was looking for. Needs an update. Great English book shop in Hong Kong. Perhaps a larger section on Hong Kong books would help. Don't forget more upstairs.

Swindon used to be a good bookstore selling English books in Hong Kong, but not anymore. The HKU branch has almost all books on display wrapped up, meaning that if you would like to take a look, you have to ask them for unwrapping the books for you.

The good thing of browsing books in an actual store is that you can immediately take a look at the content and decided whether you'd like to buy it or not, in a convenient and friendly atmosphere. Now, with most books wrapped, you'd better go online to look for those books with sample pages, instead of approaching the "friendly" shop assistants to remove the plastic wraps for you.
