We lived in HK from 1973 - 2000 then went back for a few months every year until 2011.Then it was every two years, Due to Covid, we have not been aboe to visit since 2019.
I first went to Sum Ngai in about 1979 or so. Over the years I took visitors to the shop and we saw it grow from a few small rooms to a large establishment. Maybe the owner I knew has retired but I would like to talk to her and get a quote on something. Is there an amail address ? best wishes

A lovely shop that has a treasure trove of brass, pottery, wooden furniture and ornaments. If you want something different and enjoy a trip away from the hustle and bustle of the city, then give this area a visit.

Brilliant range, beautiful furniture, super helpful staff! I am very happy with the order, they delivered a great quality end result for a reasonable price that also survived the huge humidity change when relocating out of HK (the same cannot be said for furniture bought somewhere else for a lot more)

Staff are so friendly and helpful in this family run business. Which is why I keep going back there. There is parking inside , you just ask them to open the gate. Must try : dancing water bath; bonging the huge bell in the courtyard. Brassware ; lamps ( porcelain and brass) ; lacquer furniture ; cloisonné ware and decorations , etc
