Used to be full of surprises with lots specialty shops not available elsewhere in Hong Kong. You got the feel of being in Island south - expat lifestyle. They could be pricey but unique. Now it is getting more like most Link managed malls. Same chain supermarket. Alike gift shops. Restaurants targeted at PRC tourists with a trailing luggage. It is comparatively less attractive than the Stanley Main Street now.
Nice place. Early morning it’s a refreshing place to hang out and get some shopping in. Nice view of the water front. They had a fun little dog vehicle display when we were there. I wouldn’t say it’s a must visit though. Its a fun place to see but there’s much better traditional markets. This is more the franchised shopping area in the main building. But it’s enjoyable.
A Wow Place.. been there for shopping and loved it so much that decided to spend the whole day. The beautiful walkway. Beautiful pets.. Awesome restaurants.. everything about this place is just awesome.
We enjoyed a ride on the red bus from the town centre down the winding scenic road to Stanley. Once there we walked through the market stalls looking for presents to take home. The choice of items is vast from Chinese ornaments to clothes to oil paintings and souvenirs. We then walked along the seafront where there is a large number of cafes and restaurants. The the weather was beautiful. Definitely worth a day trip.
Beautiful night market to walk around. Very tranquil and shows a more "slow" side of Hong Kong. Excellent date location! Lots of Western styled shopping, but don't be afraid to try some of the local products and items as well! A photography's paradise at different times of the day.
It is a common mall and there is actually nothing special. However, I like this mall so much. I cannot explain what or why, but this mall is pretty cozy and sophisticated in details. This mall is very clean and well-maintained, too, and it was not so crowded when I went there. Unlike most shopping malls in Hong Kong, Stanley Plaza is so comfortable.
A decent place to visit, though it is kind of sad to see how much it's changed.
The promenade has western fare that'd make for a nice place to have dinner and drinks.
Stanley markets can be found exploring beyond the promenade, on the opposite side to Stanley plaza. There are new stores on the waterfront, but you'll have to go behind the hard soccer pitch to find the original markets.
I love Stanley Plaza. They have everything. Clothes, food, lovely scenery. Found some film that was difficult to find anywhere else here and was thrilled about that as well. Tons of stuff for pets too.
Nice little Beach town to walk around and shop for trinkets. lots of booths for trinkets and souvenirs. Restaurants and bars. Beach access. Nice little drive to get there. Lovely spot.
Another shopping centre (mall) with the traditional outlets, although this one has a particularly big H&M one. Go all the way down to the ground level, and you'll find a nice little square with plenty of restaurants options. From there, you can go out to the pier where dignitaries used to land when first arriving in Hong Kong in the early century (pier has been redone though). There is also a street market which is primarily aimed at tourists I think. All in all, very interesting surrounds, with a not so interesting shopping centre (mall)
Great atmosphere, Stanley Plaza's open design lets in a lot of light. The restaurants serves good quality food for very low price. Take a Chinese restaurant called Chung chai for example. Also there are many varieties of shops from unique gadgets to major clothing brands.
Nice place for basic shopping or for an easy family oceanfront walk/dining experience. Most of the restaurants are family friendly and open onto a large piazza so great place for families with younger kids. Well stocked grocery store and decent wine shop (Watson’s). A smattering of specialty stores and coffee shops as well.
Clash of quaint & modern. After walking past a lane of tourisy retail shops the path opens up to a plethora of eateries and shops situated in old & original buildings. At the end of the promenade the Stanley Plaza stands. One will find modern shops of different mix and of course modern restaurants & fast food shops. You can enjoy an early evening of browsing the retail shops and end the night with a dinner in restaurant of choice.
A convenient place well served by public transport. A good range of shops and places to eat and drink. A unusual tiered design with escalators providing good access to outdoor areas and the coast.
Love terrace is cool for couples. The plaza had neat shops and has helpful staff. Area has become increasingly commercia though... especially the Murray House. ..an H&M...seriously? !
Love mall on Stanley waterfront. Markets and eating places. Pleasant outing for a sunny day
The renovations have made this area much more vibrant and attractive. It can be crowded with tourists at peak times during the weekend but otherwise, it is a nice place to grab a meal, window shop, and enjoy the outdoors.
Futuristic and warm design. Lots of seats for people to use and enjoy the scenery. Lots of nice shops and restaurants for consumers to choose from. I highly recommend anyone to go there, especially tourists.
Pets friendly. Not so nice to walk during a hot day. Common area no aircon. The escalator was down during my visit. On level 5 is the bus terminal which is convenient to commuter.
Nice leisure with mixture of good white sand beach, shopping areas, antique buildings and country park.
Nice and clean. Interesting shops and gentrified food choices. The pier is nice to see the color of the waters of the South China Sea.
A bit old and just like any other tourist destination, it is over priced. The redeeming quality is the nice view but even so, the view is just average given that there isn't much to look at except the sea. Great place to grab a beer but not much else.
Clean and convenient. Great place to enjoy a meal near the water while the kids play freely and safely in the courtyard. Fun events on weekends and good variety of shops and restaurants.
Awesome place for a very different view of Hong Kong. Nothing like the concrete jungle which one sees in Central and Victoria Harbour side. Must visit place. There's a nice market here too. Can't bargain for great deals but still worth shopping.
