The staff is super friendly and the service is quick. The jacket was exactly like i wanted it to be and it only took 4 days.

After some due diligence, I decided to buy a suit last summer from Sams Tailor on his US trip. Melwani seemed like a pleasant enough fellow, although he appeared rushed with his measurements. The $850 price for a standard suit without a canvas lining seemed much higher than I was expecting but I figured as long as it came out great I wouldn’t mind. It fit so poorly that I had to take the suit to my local guy to get a second opinion, who said not only was the craftsmanship of the suit terrible, but the quality of material was substandard. But what about all those reviews online - surely this must be a mistake. Perhaps they sent me the wrong suit, or a new person made the suit who really shouldn’t have? So I contacted him via email and he essentially ignored me; not much follow-up on their end. I’m really hoping I can find some relief with the credit card company. In any event, I would not recommend this tailor as the product and subsequent service was inadequate.

The people were very friendly; however the product is very low value. Got a suit coat that cost $450USD. Throughout the fitting I emphasized I wanted a relaxed fit not the tight fit they had for first fitting. They said they would fix it but they clearly didn’t. I told them I wanted to ship it back to get it fixed. They made it clear that would be at my additional expense. Had they listened the first time and made the changes I wouldn’t have been as upset.
Unless you live in Hong Kong, do not go here. The tailor at my local Brooks Brothers is better.response / report this review -

What a great experience! I made my first tailor made suit with Sam’s Tailor and the result was perfect!
The staff is super friendly and Roshan took great care of me. After the first fitting I got a perfect fitted suit and shirt in my hands for an unbeatable price.

Fantastic business to deal with. After getting so special printed material in Australia i couldn't find a tailor that wanted to do the job. Weeks of searching and inquiry's and Roshan was very keen to help out. Was able to send him the material and a suit of mine and he made it exact and delivered it.. Fantastic service and great customer communication and support.. If i'm ever in Hong Kong will be sure to drop in. Keep up the great work.

Business landed me in the area, and I had to make another trip to see my friend, Roshan. While I knew the experience was going to be first rate (Roshan is A+ all the way), I was blown away by the new selection and quality of my recent order. Roshan spent extra time going over every detail of the suits he made for me this trip, every custom option - and since he knows me well now, he knew both what I would like right away and what would be a good stretch for my fashion. When you work with someone who is so talented and also knows you the results just get better with age!

I’ve been visiting Sam’s for nearly 15 years! I still have the first sport jacket they ever tailored for me. Quality never goes out of style! Over the years I’ve bought pieces elsewhere but they’ve usually fallen apart after a few cleanings. Sam’s quality is excellent. And Roshan’s expertise and keen attention to detail/fashion has helped me keep my waredrobe upto date & looking sharp! Fantastic bespoke suits!

The experience of getting a suit here was amazing. The service was fast and helpful. The tailors there were very experienced and helped me get exactly was I was wanting all for a good price. If you are looking for a nice custom suit for a good price, please go here. Next time I'm in Hong Kong, will definitely go again!

I first found Sam's ten years ago while in Hong Kong with the Royal Navy, I had a suit made in 2 days which is still in use today. Since then I've met up with him on his trips to London at the Savoy. He's kindly fitted me in between royal appointments! I've had suits and shirts made, all to my exacting specifications. On one such meeting it had been over 5 years since he last saw me and immediately picked up that I had done something to my shoulder (reconstruction surgery) which meant it was a quarter inch lower.
I've just ordered and received a 1920's inspired velvet tux which is his best work yet.

Definitely a must stop for a custom suits, shirts, pants, and overcoats if you are traveling to Hong Kong. For someone who is tall and skinny but has a long arms, it is difficult to find a proper fitting dress shirt and suit. Nothing is better for a perfect fit than to get it custom made down to the 1/4".
Something to keep in mind is to plan for multiple visits to Sam's Tailor when you buy your first item from Sam's Tailor. They will measure you during the first visit and then use another visit to compare the 75% completed item to your body to make any necessary adjustments. The third visit is to try on the completed item and the fourth visit would be to pick up the final item after minor alterations are completed.
The pricing at Sam's Tailor is a bargain for the quality you get. The pricing is a steal because it is fully custom suit made for you instead of a department store cookie cutter suit altered to fit your body shape. I originally came in to buy one suit, but came out with multiple items after noticing the quality that comes out of Sam's Tailor's doors. Don't sell yourself short and miss Sam's Tailor when you come to Hong Kong.
Best part of Sam's Tailor is any future minor alterations are free! I need to have my shirts pulled in tighter around the abdomen area and I will be passing by again to get it done when I visit Hong Kong again soon.response / report this review -

Wonderful custom made clothing and outstanding customer service!
Just traveled to Sam's Tailor - Nathan Road in Hong Kong (Kowloon) and had custom suits and shirts prepared The clothes are a perfect fit with high quality fabrics. Most importantly, the customer service was outstanding -- in a low pressure very supportive environment. I strongly recommend Sam's Tailor --- a 'MUST DO' when visiting Hong Kong. Ask for Roshan who will take great care of you.

Roshan fitted me for sport coats, slacks and shirts in the shop on Nathan Road. They all fit just great. Just recently, I ordered a blue blazer via email and received it within 2 weeks. They provide you with code # for ordering again. They may ask you to come back to check fit of your garment more than once and it is part of the process. The shop is a fairly short walk up Nathan Road from the Peninsula Hotel. Great people and a fun experience!

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had. As a guy, we don't always get to be selective in our dress, but Roshan and everyone at Sam's Tailor makes it such a fun and interesting experience. We were lucky to have Roshan helping us out and he is great. As he put it, his job is to make sure you look good, so he will help steer you to the correct suits and shirts. He won't ever tell you no, but he'll let you know if a certain color probably won't look good with your complexion, etc.
If you are interested in fashion, you absolutely have to have this experience. This is a true bespoke experience where you get to make all kinds of decisions, down to buttons, stitching, pocket types, etc. I had 4 shirts and 3 suits made for less than the cost of what 1 suit would have cost in Chicago and the quality is fantastic. My wife came with me for my 2nd fitting and was so jealous of what she saw, that she ended up with 3 suits as well.
I don't really wear suits that much, but I have received numerous compliments each time I have worn anything from Sam's. I'm looking forward to working with Roshan remotely in the future on some additional shirts and sport coats. He's a great guy and a caring father. My 2 year old got to meet him and his children who dropped by the shop and you can tell he has a real passion for his job and his family.
I'm very happy to write a great review for Sam's Tailor as it was one of my most favorite parts of our Hong Kong trip. I cannot recommend it enough.response / report this review -

I am a fan! I met Roshan in Hong Kong for my first suit, and have worked with him remotely for additional suits shirts and slacks. He is very responsive, has great taste, and uses a wide range range of fabrics and accessories which are fun. Great value and experience. And, expect lots of compliments! My highest recommendation.

This s great place to buy a suit. Friendly staff and great service. Just remember when getting a custom suit multiple fittings are needed. I walked in and got measured and picked out my options on Wednesday, tried it on Thursday and did some minor tweaking, and left with an amazing suit on Friday! The staff is happy work with you to make sure you get what you want. Sam's will make it happen!

I have been going to Sam's Tailor for quite a few years. I returned in 2015, 2016 and more recently in February 2017. In addition of my three piece suit, my two piece linen suit, my two sport jackets and four shirts, this time I asked Roshan and his team to make me a pair of linen pants to go with my sport jackets and four new shirts. His sense of style and design never cease to amaze me. I am extremely satisfied of the work he did for me over these years. I am proud of my Sam's Tailor garments. I do not hesitate to recommend a visit if your are ever in Hong Kong. You will be harassed on Nathan Road to visit other tailor shops but to me I have found quality at Sam's and I have no desire to shop somewhere else.
Now I have also found that I can order custom tailor shirts online. I ordered 3 new shirts in April. When they arrived I was thrilled and amazed to see how awesome they were. I shall be back Roshan, you do such great work. You make me proud.response / report this review -

Frequently returning customer for over 2 years - never had any issues. Quality of product is always on point. Ask for Tarzan when you get there - he provides excellent service and takes his time to help even during peak hours.

If you are looking for quality, professionalism, perfection then stop searching here. Sam's Tailor is the BEST. There is a reason why Sam's does not have to have a guy on the streets of Hong Kong handing out cards and pushing customers into their shop.
7 US Presidents have had suits made here; multiple dignitaries, and the shop walls are filled with photos of celebrities and the Who's who on planet earth!!
Roshan is amazing, attentive, and absolutely professional.
We stopped to have a couple suits made on recommendation and it was more than just getting suits. It was an amazing experience of our Hong Kong trip.
Their tailors are outstanding with thousands of fabric choices. After 36 hours, the suits were ready and PERFECT. So perfect that I opted for a 3rd suit and a fun sports jacket that Roshan and I designed together. His sense of style is amazing and the suits fit as if they were molded for your body.
Don't stop with suits either. I ended up getting 6 shirts that fit better than any shirt I've ever bought in my many many years of travel.

I first went to Sam's Tailor in HK and had 3 suits and 10 shirts made. The process was seamless and efficient and the team took care to make sure I felt comfortable and happy about my purchases. A few months later I reached back out to have some clothes made with some high-level changes to fit based on changes in my body and they did a fantastic job of delivering better than my expectations. The clothes were delivered to me incredibly efficiently and I was very happy with the end result. I would unequivocally recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality clothes at reasonable prices!
