Inspired by Tadao Ando - the renowned architect, Andy believes nature and environment is only irreplaceable element in interior design.

Growing up in a village, Andy used to draw raw material locally from nature for making his toys when he was small. NATURE means a lot to him, not only it is a natural gift for mankind, but also our HOME.

Graduated in 2000, Andy started working in different design firms and strived to infuse nature elements into his projects. However, it's always not easy to change the status quo, especially when overly luxurious and hotel-ish styles are dominant in Chinese society.

After 2 years, intended to enrich his knowledge on interior design, Andy seeked for further education in UK; a country that possesses strong stance on environmental protection. He believes, design is a powerful key to arouse people's awareness on the importance of nature, HOME SWEET HOME could never stand alone without it.

Design Philosophy

In December 2007, Andy established Pure AW's Designers, providing an alternative and refreshing choice to the market.

Pure AW's - not only the abbreviation of Andy Wan, it represents AIR, WATER and SUNLIGHT; the most basic, pure but indispensable elements. Andy explicitly positions and manifests his green design philosophy, giving customers a tailor-made HOME SWEET HOME, and simultaneously, promote green living, sustainable as well as environmental conservation.
