Nobu is a global staple and I have never been disappointed no matter where I went to one (NYC, Vegas, Miami, Budapest, London, Dubai, otehrs by Matsuhisa) until this one. For the price and the name associated, I just could not understand the problem. It was a great locale, good sounding menu, and presentation was fine. The service was what you expect from Asia - not a complaint as its the average, but Nobu might consider higher expectations than the regional average. But each dish itself was very mediocre. At a different price point and name it would have been fine. But I get better sushi in landlocked cities, the fusion dishes were totally overindexed on mushrooms in everything as a replacement to soak up taste, the kobe was definitely not top grade, the cocktails were not well thought out, and the signature sushi tacos you get at Nobu - always what I look forward to as a guilty pleasure total MEH Just unfortunate.

Tried the omakase menu with the buy one get one free promotion they offered. Suprisingly, out of the 8 dishes only one were tasty. They also claimed that the dishes offered will be different from the usual menu? After going through 7 OK dishes we asked the manager if the menu was altered with sub-standard food because of the offer. Suprisingly the manager admitted that was the case. I was in plain dissapointment and awe anyway, dont come with a promotion.

One of my favorite places for modern Japanese in Hong Kong. Their avocado tacos, tofu tempura, avocado cream cheese sushi, the scallops, miso eggplant, black cod miso and lamb chops are the best on their menu!

Good food. Thought it would be great food, so a little disappointed. Service was excellent. Location and views of the bay are amazing. Lunch is a more reasonable option from a price point - they offer a lunch set menu.

Great food. Not quite as good as Nobu in New York but still worth a visit

we absolutely love nobu and after traveling the past few weeks wanted a sure thing- we ordered the autumn tasting menu and it was so bad! not a single dish is one i enjoyed or would ever order again. we had to order one of our favorite dishes at the end just to try and help morale. service was just mediocre. i’ve never been more let down! hopefully it’s normally better than this

Top Dishes to Order at Nobu HK:
    1. The Matsuhisa Slider - A signature creation by Chef Nobuyuki "Nobu" Matsuhisa. Minced wagyu on a house made bun with truffle aioli.
    2. Truffle Uni Taco - Fresh and creamy uni with truffle fried rice in a crispy seaweed taco shell.
    3. Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño - The perfect balance of spicy jalapeños and citrus yuzu soy. A classic Nobu dish.
    4. Melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu Beef Truffle Nigiri.

Food was great. Most of the service were excellent. good spot for fireworks only if you can get a window seat around the area behind the reception and across the sushi bar. Any other window seating would not allow for full view of fireworks because of low ceiling. Emily the receptionist was not very courteous to request for good seating for firework, she assertively noted all window seatings have been reserved and confirmed. Cindy however is pleasant to deal with, saying she would try her best. Results are the same, but much more pleasant to deal with. Emily would drive business away for the restaurant. I for one would not pay the price to go Nobu for any future fireworks viewing anymore. View wise, there are better places to do that. And the system was such that you should confirmed your booking with credit card and forfeit the full set menu price if you cancel, but there is still no guarantee of good seating even if you are the first guest to arrive on the night. Overall, love the food and most waiters, but customers were left thinking they were seated based on personal discrimination.

Great views across the harbour if you get a window seat.. food was amazing particularly the black miso cod. HK branch less pretentious than the London one and service, (given it was for HK) was outstanding. Slightly pricey, so I still prefer my favourite Roka..

    Decent place with good service
The mocktails re good and the food is fusion of Japanese and western. It's a bit pricy but it's normal for hotel s restaurant

Excellent as always, no matter where in the word you are! The quality of the sashimi is the reason we love visiting Nobu :)

Is this real nobu? I had set in zuma for same price. Much tastier and more dishes. Jalapenio, too much onion, bad dessert

Finally get the chance to write this review as I was very determined to do so someday after I get home.

THE MIX. There were five of us. We were sat next to the window facing the great views over the harbour. A bit on the bright side during Sunday afternoon so lowering some blinds would help. Food was good, but just as expected. Good portions (varieties) to fill us up. I’ll let the attached photos speak for themselves. The setting and deco looks odd. Round tables are not common in Japanese cuisine. When we were seated, the table was plain bare - no utensils, plate, glass when we sat down. Felt like we sat in between someone setting up a table in a rush dim sum restaurant – in a supposedly Japanese restaurant lacking details.

THE BAD. What was upsetting was, the afternoon set was supposed to come with drinks. We were chatting a bit and became thirsty. Noticing our drinks somehow took an extended amount of time to arrive and there was nothing on our table, so we’ve asked the waitress can we have some water please. Waitress asked us whether we wanted sparkling and we promptly said no, just regular water. She then brought us bottled Fiji water inside a metallic container, then we realize we are going to get charge an unknown amount for it (approx. HKD$120 for a 1L). The price was not written in their menu and the waitress also failed to inform us of the charge.
My complaint in form of a question is, a restaurant that charges 300+/person seriously can’t even afford to give out some very basic water to a customer like any restaurant would? No matter how good that afternoon tea was, it left us with a sour taste and a terrible impression. I don’t care what the norm in HK is, it just shows poor hospitality, poor taste, poor gesture and they would like their customers to just suck it up.

The food was good; but NOBU has lost all their points to their greediness and cheapness – that’s all I can remember whenever someone asked me about the experience.

Being a huge fan and a frequent visitor of Nobu Dubai, was really not impressed with any of the dishes, when comparing to Nobu Dubai

Very much enjoyed the tasting menu, not the cheapest of places but quality and service is great. Nice relaxed environment, and great view from the restaurant and also the lobby of the hotel (great place to have a couple of drinks before heading to the restraunt)
