Amazing feeling getting here by cable car, if you can stand the somehow troubling sensation... Stepping out from gondola car, a long pedestrian route awaits you up to the top, if you decide to tackle heat, stairs, crowd and humidity. Your award will be a magnificent view...
Great walk through the mountains, past Big Buddha, then terrific views from the cable car which takes you gently down into Tung Chung
Hiking from Pak Kung Au to Sunset Peak, Pak Mong, Lo Fu Tau, Monastery, finishing in Mui Wo. Total 23 km, absolutely awesome views.
There are several nice paths around Lo Fu Tau mainly, but definitely not as good as the other side of the island
Lots of nice trails to walk. Some easy some very hard so choose well. Olympic trail is easy and a good family walk.
Easy to reach using the metro or BUS SOME parts of site involving climbing many stairs plenty of shops in cold weather need for cold weather clothing
A great spot to walk between Mui So and discovery bay. Note, take lots of water and you need to be fit it is quite a hike.
A comfortable trail of approximately 10km from Tung Chung to Mui Wo. The highest point is about 55 storey high at the halfway. Very convenient for public transport, ie, taking MTR at Tung Chung and ferry at Mui Wo where goes to HK island of take bus back to Tung Chung.
An amazing place to hike and see airplanes take off. Has more to offer for the trekker than any other Island.
Tiring yet thrilling place to hike. Nice slopes and views.
Beautiful country park , hiking trails good place to spend the day
A nice place to go, but it's prohibited to bring a selfie-stick into the park :(. It's nice cold weather rather than in my tropical country.
Lovely easy trails. Great for beginners and families
Quite simply stated, it's a beautiful out-of-the-city escape. We had a quick trip (2 weeks long) and it was my wife's first visit to Hong Kong. We live in Seattle, so greenery is our "normal". Hong Kong is a different story. Both of us, thanks to the parents, were taken on hikes to the country parks in Hong Kong, seeing things that normal tourists would unlikely see. If you are visiting Hong Kong, as a tourist, I strongly recommend that you pack a pair of hiking shoes, and go on a few of these hikes. You wouldn't believe that places this beautiful can be just minutes away from all the "shopping".
Great views from all the way top. Recommend transparent cable car to enjoy the ride
A very pretty and scenic place to visit. Climbing up to the big Buddha statue is a must (if you can) to witness a beautiful view of Hong Kong countryside.
Also the fun '360' cable car giving you an amazing "bird view" of the surrounding area including Hong Kong airport
