HOPE worldwide (Hong Kong)

HOPE worldwide is an international Christian charity with a mission to change lives by providing sustainable, high-impact and community-based services to the poor and needy. Founded in 1991 by the International Churches of Christ to serve the poor, sick and suffering throughout the world, the charity has helped more than 1.5 million people on every inhabited continent. HOPE worldwide's Hong Kong Affiliate began its work in the greater China region in 1993. What makes HOPE worldwide different is its global presence but highly localized programmes. Our tried-and-true experience with volunteer-professional collaboration allows them to reach a great number of people in need. Every year, HOPE worldwide mobilises over 3,000 volunteers to visit single elders and screening on fall prevention with the aids developed by the Chinese University. Through this two-tiered model, we have served over 43,000 elders. We are also trying to address the surge of students with special educational needs (SEN) by providing after school tutorial services and other training programme.
