This airport is very busy until midnight. It seems that many flight has the transit here. There are few hundreds gates in this airport. Please make sure that you can find your gate correctly. The information systems are very easy to access. Also, there is a prayer room avalaible between gate 40 and 42 for the religious travelers. The airport itself is very modern and clean.

Coming from California, going to Perth, Australia. Been here a few time's now and I have never gone outside the airport terminal. This time I thought I would store my bags at the airport in lockers but they don't have only baggage lockers services which want $140 to just put it in a locker and charge your for it. If your traveling on a budget don't come to Hong Kong because it only caters for the rich.
I asked how to find it and they sent me all over the airport, took me 40 minutes after asking several employees all sending me in different directions. No white people allowed if you want help. Never again.
Thank you for your time. Danny B.

This on of my top 5 airports in the whole! If you forgot that last minute gift, you can always get it here. Great selection of food, dessert and drinks! Bright, clean and set up like a mall. Just a boat ride away from great shopping in China too!

Instruction in this airport is clear, you can easily find the way you wanna go. Although the satellite terminal are far away, the travelling time still acceptable.
But if you are taking CX, you better arrive earlier as this is a local airline, many people taking it, and casing south departure hall already jam.
For security check, you will need to take out your computer

My first time to Hong Kong airport and I was impressed. It's a nice airport , doesn't let you get bored. Plenty of shops to browse and nice views from the windows if that is what keeps you entertained . There are seats that let you stretch and sleep but you have to find them. Toilets are clean. Overall good experience to kill few hours during transit.

It was a delight to have a brief lay-over in this great engineering feat of an airport. It is huge yet, well-placed screens are efficiently updated. Passengers have to constantly check their boarding gates as sudden changes may happen, as usually occurs in big and heavy-traffic airports such as this. I found very pleasant the "mini- museums" positioned beside the boarding gates. I enjoy seeing the historic and contemporary wares, utensils, tea pots displayed. It was a glimpse of the engineering prowess and craftsmanship of Chinese culture and civilization.

This airport is one of the busiest airports in the world and crowded too. You will find English speaking staff here and so many people from different countries. The airport is big and clean, sometimes it feels that it is never going to end. You will find different cuisines here as well and all international brands. Better to start moving early towards your gate.

There is always a strange odor whenever you enter the airport for departure. The smell reminds me of piss. Probably the smell of the ocean.

Still, on the overall, this is one spacious airport. Well maintained facilities. Ample selection of food kiosks and restaurants. Lots of shops. If you don’t like the restaurant selections before the immigration counter, you might want to try the ones going to the gates. Nothing wrong with being here 4-5 hours before your flight.

One of the cleaner and more efficient airports in Asia. Connected via Express Trains, you can easily get to Kowloon and Central quickly within 30mins, at a very reasonable rate. If you're able to research on buses, that's going to be even cheaper.

Do note, that most budget airlines are at gates that are far away, especially those that are 40 and above (where you'll need to take a train between stations), so do spare more time when at the airport if your gate is not at the main terminal.

One of my favorite airports in the world. Never got so close to APU of AB380. Interesting view. Also the plane flew in between layers of cloud. Amazing scene. Not sure which side is up 😈

There is so much to see here while waiting for your plane. I love how they have so many places for free phone charging and computer use. Restrooms and water centers are easy to find and directions are clear. If you are big on shopping, which I'm not, you'll enjoy it. There is a two story Rolex and Chanel here IN THE AIRPORT!

This was a pleasant experience after coming from JFK. The terminal is really modern and clean. The best part was the relaxation corner which was our home lived in for the 3 or so hours before our flight back to Sydney after a 2 day stopover. The Airport Express was really easy to get and was quick, clean & quiet. Probably the best airport I've been to along with Singapore.

Hong Kong airport is the best and convenient in the world. Going through the security is fast and easy. Many shops and eating places for various budget levels are found after you check in.
It has lots of free facilities. You can find clean and auto flushing toilets everywhere. You can charge your phone and computer in many places. Free computers are available for use in the waiting area for boarding. Free hot and cold drinking water with cups are available. It is a big airport but you do not have to walk much as there are passenger conveyor belts and fast connection trains between boarding gates. There are plenty of comfortable seats for those waiting to board the plane and the flight info display screens are large and everywhere. Free TVs offering a variety of channels in either Chinese or English are also available throughout the waiting area.
If you arrive in Hong Kong, the signs fir baggage collections and immigration are very clear. Immigration is fast and easy. Tourist information is freely available and there are plenty of staff very keen to help. Transport link to city centre is very good and cheap.
I have travelled to many cities and never seen an airport as good as Hong Kong.

Huge airport with all the modern facilities including free wifi (it actually works). Great shopping and restaurants. You almost feel like you are in a mall. Even though it's a very busy airport but the management is excellent. The train service to the city as well as the city check in service are fantastic. Only thing is that you have to walk a lot and take train to move around the airport.

Best way to get to and from the Airport to town! 24 minutes, that's it!

You can take a taxi but why pay much more and spend more time in the car just because it will drop you in front of the hotel.

You don't know where your hotel is? It's your first trip to Honk Kong?

No worries. The airport express is still the best option.

    Cheap, easy and fast!

Once you're in Hong Kong station. Walk to the taxi stand that you find right outside the train station (still underground) and tell the driver the hotel name.

Done! Was there a problem? NO!
As said, cheap, easy and fast - take the Airport Express.

A well done airport but the restaurants outside of fast food are quite expensive (more than an average airport, but lots to choose from). Be prepared to walk a fair bit and give yourself time to get to your gate. (as well as carry-on baggage check lines, which actually go pretty quickly) Not as cozy as airports such as Changi in Singapore.

Amazingly well set up to transport a large amount of people. Clearing customs is simple, getting from terminal to terminal is easy. Transit system within the airport is slick. Feels clean with lots of options to eat, and hang out. Transit to and from the airport is simple and when we were not exactly sure the best way to get in to Hong Kong there were very friendly people at the information booths to help us. We took a bus and uber with ease. English is written everywhere with excellent signage to direct. Really like the check in podium set up. All in all great airport to fly for transit or destination.

Very busy International airport. Location of this airport is amazing -- with sea on one side and hill on the other. This airport has all sort of refreshment and stalls that would never let you down. You will never fill bored even during long lay over. Only problem here is language. If you are speaking to someone and you know Chinese then its OK or else you have to struggle a bit. All the indications are given in English too So it will not be a problem to find your destination.
Overall it is one of the best International airport.

This airport is beautiful and clean. The design of this airport is spacious and the interior decorating is awesome. You won't get bored and the shopping, amazing! It's too bad though that when I landed and picked up my luggage, which so happened to be passed 11h30pm, the shuttle bus service had ended and I had to spend on a cab. But the cab service was excellent. There is a team of people to direct you depending on the sector you are headed and to help if the cab driver doesn't understand English hotel names. Check in is very fast and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I certainly am looking forward to my next in and out at HKG.
