For the price, the W kitchen buffet is a much better choice.
There are only a handful of tables with views at the 103 Cafe, and there are quite a few of tables placed right next to busy walkways, with pretty much no view.
Food was alright, but compared to the W hotel that is right next door, choices were very limited. If you insist on dining at the Ritz Carlton, book early for a nice table.
Came here for afternoon tea on Easter sunday.
There were issues with our visit which were brought to the attention of management and were subsequently addressed.
Something to keep in mind if you want to come to the ritz carlton for afternoon tea.
Cafe 102 hosts a daily afternoon tea in the english and french style.
Whereas Cafe 103 was previously the chocolate library and the afternoon tea here is seasonal. In that the menu items are seasonal and may not necessarily reflect a traditional style tea.
Incredible. We did the tea service here and it was one of the highlights of our trip. It's on the 103rd story of the hotel so the views are ridiculous. We had nearly the entire place to ourselves, and the tea and food choices were ridiculously diverse and incredibly tasty. It's definitely a must-see if you're in Hong Kong. Make your reservations through email and you won't have a problem.
Very nice place to have afternoon tea or lunch or dinner. The people are very children friendly and very open to entertain the little ones. The food is really nice and drinks are freshly made. We only tried the afternoon tea so far but we are definitely coming back to see what's on the lunch & dinner menus.
We had a wonderful brunch buffet here. Elegant and really high quality food. My favorite items we're the roast beef and the salmon sashimi. Both were extremely delicious. The desserts were also fabulous. Items such as the cheesecake we're not too sweet and did not leave me feeling too heavy. All in all an amazing experience.
Great views of Hong Kong from the 103 floor. We had very attentive service and enjoyed a few drinks while looking out at the views. Try to get a window seat
Went for a birthday tea, setting is nice but it's only "amazing" if you have a window seat which you need to book very much in advance. The selection is of sweet & savouries is fab and good value for money BUT service is pretty poor for the price & hotel standard. I waited 15 mins for cold milk with my tea.. and the waiters are pretty cold and seem almost annoyed when you ask for anything etc. So be cautious of that when going for tea!
I went here for afternoon tea. The service was good, food was good but it is really overpriced for what we got.
Exceptional place with unbelievable views over HK. Perfect service and a very cosy atmosphere. A bit difficult to get there by foot.
Great food with a high level of service and quality
Great view and delicious food. The service could be better and the food could be a little less expensive. There are hundred of places in Hong Kong where the view is breathtaking so I do not think payer 600$ for a few pastries and a tea is reasonable. I recommend for the experience of eating that high in the city, not for the food and service.
Love the aerial view from Cafe 103 sooooooo much!!
A nice place for gathering. Gorgeous afternoon tea set and excellent service.
Awesome views + awesome tea set!! 👍👍
The servers were nice and the signature chocolate tea set was just wonderful. If you need a sea (window side )view table, you are suggested to reserve two months ago especially for weekend or Sundays.
The view is breathtaking. I had an afternoon tea all with chocolate and mandarin due to the new Rooster Year. It was good, but you just can't help but to take pictures of the view - it's way up above sea level. My Sophie bag by Josefinas looked incredible.
I am probably being a bit picky but first is first: you have to go here for the views!
Second: don't go here for the afternoon tea! It was very disappointing, I was expecting a perfect English tea, but it was meh!!! At a 5 star place meh shouldn't be applied. Everything was with chocolate and mandarine, I guess I understand the concept, we are at Chinese New Year but where were the scones? The sanduíches were simply not that good, the sweets were ok, but not as I expected well overall I payed for the view and that fill me up as we leaved almost everything else :)
Amusing view for the harbour. More cost effective for lunch.
Discovered Cafe 103 as a top listed place for high tea; chose it for offer of grand views and a Ritz Carlton experience.
Views were good not grand, service friendly but under-attentive, and food satisfactory but under-impressive.
Best views are at either end of floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows. We were grateful to get a table at the balcony edge, as we did not have a reservation. However, decorative metal grating obscures the majesty of Hong Kong Island; pity they can't be retracted or a less obtrusive feature put in place. Got a pleasant downward view of Star Ferry terminal and visiting cruise ship.
Service was welcoming and friendly, with an introduction to the Godiva biscuit offering. Tea and food arrived in reasonable time, and waitress kindly took a photo of us. As subsequent waitress topped up my partner's tea pot with more hot water, I regretted getting hazelnut hot chocolate -- while it was delicious, no refill offer here! Yet there's only so much hot water you can refill a tea pot; complimentary fresh pots of new tea should be provided (considering the price of this service).
The sweet biscuits and savoury sandwiches were good, but nothing to write home about. The chocolate scones with chocolate raspberry jam stood out, as did the green tea biscuit.
We weren't in a rush, but had to wait a while to get our bill.
But I left with a high note -- the views from the gentlemen's toilets are jaw dropping awesome. Best view I've ever had from a urinal!
Stunning view. Tip - wait until a clear day. Breakfast is $300 and it's not bad but view is awesome.
