This shop has 4 floors, (1)underground floor, it is selling stationary and secondary school text books. Sometimes I can find great stationaries for my kids. (2) first floor, selling popular culture books, for example, fictions and non fictions , (3) going up to second floor, you can find literature books for English and Chinese books. (4) The last floor, third floor, it contains pop culture books, for example, travel books, and so on. Overall, this store contains most of the books, usually can easily find the book you want. For kids books, you can walk across the street, they have a sub branch for selling kids books and educational toys.
One female sales in this shop, working on the first floor's cashier counter is extremely impolite. We asked her to find books for us but she did not want to help. We read books in the shop and she came to take the books back. I guess she thought that we were in the shop for too long. My husband had similar experience before. When I paid at the counter, I asked her to say thank you on our behalf to the ONLY male staff in the shop who had been very nice to us, she responded to us without any facial expression! Overall, except one male staff, I had very bad experience finding and buying books in this store. In fact, I ordered the books in Shatin branch more than two weeks ago and asked them to deliver from Causeway bay to shatin branch but they haven't done that after more than 2 weeks. I don't recommended buying books here. There are other better options!
Not as comfortable as other bookshop like Eslite or even Popular. They don't provide seats for the customers..
Its retail network covers Hong Kong-Kowloon urban areas, new towns, railway stations, universities and museums. With the belief of "finding a book for readers and finding readers for books", they are committed to promoting culture and cooperating with people from all walks of life in the publishing, cultural and educational fields. They hold various types of cultural activities and workshops in their stores. Their goal is to become a navigator of reading cultural life in Hong Kong and make bookstores part of the public life.
Good vibe, good product selection, my first choice for stationary in HK. Can't speak for the Chinese book selection.
Good environment, huge diversity of books, fast wifi
Good to find the books you want.
This is one of the major bookshop in the area
Good place for stationery and books
Book store that has friendly staff. Selection not as comprehensive as ESLite.
Quiet book store. Good selectons of Chinese and English books. Sometimes nice discounts.
A good place for students and the public. It offers a wide variety of books for book lovers (such as novels, philosophy, non-fiction, cookbooks, travel, language, business, health and medicine, etc) and school supplies.
Great bookshop with English as well as Chinese books.
Good place for getting kids' presents. They don't just have books, but games, stationery and art supplies too.
A multi storey bookstore with all kinds of books from text books to fictions to classics to business. And a level dedicated to stationeries and CDs
Very crowded. There isn't even room to form a line at the cashier when there are 10 people waiting to hand them their cash.
Has most popular Chinese and English books available, along with textbooks and music albums. The location is very convenient, next to the tram station and bus stop(see picture for bus #s), and walking distance from Sogo Department Store.
There are increasingly less book stores on the city, and it would be a loss to see this location close down.
