food quality ok. not a cozy or comfortable restaurant. a traditional one instead. eat and go. a bit over priced.
Best food! Love their Tan Tan noodle.
A very down to earth family run Chinese restaurant which has rooted in a backwater area Wong Tai Sin on Kowloon Peninsula for more than 40 years.
It serves great Szechuen food though mellow down the spiciness to suit local taste. It also serves some form of Cantonese cuisine nowadays.
Price is neighbourhood affordable, but the taste is above average ,can easily outbeat similar cuisine in restaurants in up market areas.
Mind you, the seating is for neighbourhood customers with stools and very tight spacing.
great food, phenomenal value
Nice place for lunch and dinner
Affordable restaurant with a lot of choices. No service charges during weekday.
It is a very famous small local shop with its signature noodles being highly acclaimed. It is so famous that you can even find foreign tourists coming here. It has been in business for decades.
We tried various dishes, some in Sichuan style a d some in Shanghai style, all not bad, except the overly burnt and hard 'deep fried red bean paste pastry' (豆沙鍋餅).
It was not bad as a local small restaurant, but a little bit too famous for what it gives.
It is good place to visit after trail. Super cold beer and excellent dishes.
Good eating place to have Sichuan food. Need to book before you go.
I enjoyed signature dan dan noodle. It has deep taste and flavor. Also they serve various menu include shao long bao. Cost-satisfaction is high.
Highly recommended by a friend. She ordered some typical foods for us. They're good.
Service n good just fair
Our favourite Szechwan restaurant in HK. Our favourite plate is 招牌擔擔麵 - Signature Dan Dan Noodles.
Reasonably priced. Authentic specialty food. Staff genuine but may appear blunt at times.
The appetisers/ cold dishes and noodles are must-try's.
The xiaolongbao dumpling wrappings are disappointing though, thick and gooey.
Food is delicious but some of the staff are not very polite.
Local place, hidden away. Reasonably priced. Had the deep fried chicken with chilli (which has bones btw), and the beef brisket. Both were really satisfying. Didn't have trouble getting a table. Service was fine. Toilets aren't so clean so would avoid that. A little bit of wait for the food. Massive menu! Pictures everywhere. Also has recommendations. English translation is available.
