Beautiful place to visit
Functional for the moment. Can do with some improvement.
It does exactly what it is meant to do. Watch where you step.
Very breezy and always has a lot to eat.
Speed boats between Parika and Bartica are convenient. Leave when full. Jetty makes it easy to get on and off boats.
good service, but needs upgrading
The stealing is ok but it would be be great if there was proper signage for passengers who are not familiar with the stelling. Signs should indicate where to assemble for which destination.
I don’t know who gave this place a 4 star. You can literally fall into the Atlantic. Needs fixing.. don’t have any photos because I wanted to get the hell off this stelling as fast as possible.
It's cool
Was good
Pros: The Stelling is kept clean in appearance and the staff seem very friendly.
The Ferry itself is very good and timing is excellent. The staff are helpful in giving directions and friendly as well.
Cons: The service can be improved by placing the dollar amount for the fares on a large wall/notice board so that all could see before paying.
Also it would be much safer for children, elderly, visitors and practically everyone else if rails are placed up around the Stelling and have special gates which will be opened when the ferry comes.
Lastly, Transport and Harbour could greatly improve their services if they seek to weed out workers who collect bribes to help vehicles get on before those already queued at the Stelling gate.
The stelling serves it purpose however there are a lot of opportunity for improvement. Safety of the passenger specifically need to improve. Order in the regulation of traffic needed as well. The cleaning of the area is also an area for immediate improvement. There is however a good loading system where by they book you name upon embarking the boat and the boat load in an orderly manner.
This place definitely needs some repairs and they can do better with the way the place is kept, poorly maintained.
If you are travelling by vehicle you may want to get there at least three hours before the boat leaves but sadly even that doesn't guarantee your spot on the boat.
Parking your vehicle at one of the paid parking lots in Parika and travelling by a speed boat is the faster way of travel. The ferry takes approximately 90 minutes while the speed boats will get you there in 30 to 45 minutes depending on the roughness of the water.
