Great afternoon getaway from the bustle of GT. Excellent food and wine. Thanks to Warren and his lovely wife.
Whew! Pandama is a breath of fresh air! The atmosphere and experience was AMAZING. The great food and company was icing on the cake. Washing it all down with their wines added to a great experience. Warren and Tracy, the owners, welcomed us as if we were family. I enjoyed that the most. If you are looking for a quiet get away to connect with nature, Pandama is the place for you. Its not so far outside of town yet its far enough to give you the peace and relaxation you need if you're trying to unwind.
Great ambience, Tracy and Warren were very friendly. We were introduced to the other guests and enjoyed their company as well, as everyone is there to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. The creek was lovely, could use more sand so we don't have to step in muck around the edges.
Lunch was an hour late, pasta and fried fish with spinach. We all thought it was a bit salty but still good.
The sorrel wine was Ok, the Jamoon wine sour. I wouldn't have it again, but others enjoyed it.
It's a great place to get away, though not very big. So definitely make reservations and hope there's 20 or less ppl otherwise you'd definitely be in the waters edges if everyone goes in.
OK so where to begin! Our Friday fishing expedition plans got shot thanks to torrential rain over the previous three days. So here we were with a day to go in beautiful Guyana with nothing to do. Trip advisor turned up a gem with PandamaWarren was inviting on the phone and Tracy made us an exception pasta and blackened butter fish lunch. The local plum wine set the mood to relaxed. The swim and downtime in the creek was sublime. Tracy's conversation and the ambiance was super enjoyable. Highly recommended!
Peace and tranquility..
