Definitely worth the money. This waterfall is spectacular!! It is an easy 2 hour tour.
A breathtaking scenery and yet still untouched and tranquil.
The waterfall is awesome and beautiful. The one our flight and the path to the tree spots are no problem. But the Amerindians of the park, has a strict timetable! Every group has two hours, maximum. No chance to look for the plants, insects, frogs and birds arround the path. And the “picnic-pack“ is industrial and taste's so. They try to lead two groups at once. You can't understand the explanations spoken at the top of a group of 28 people. Sorry, ecological tourism looks different. Do like this, and the tourism kills you and the park!
Really awesome place to be! Totally recommended
The highest straight drop waterfall in the world. Beautiful and filled with great energy
Amazing view on ALL 3 levels. Don't be scared of heights because it's an hour flight each way I see only way to get there.
If you could custom-build the perfect waterfall, it might resemble Kaieteur Falls. Tucked away at the heart of Guyana, on the north-east shoulder of South America , this is the waterfall as supermodel - a single curtain of liquid where the River Potaro slips 741ft (226m) into a forested chasm.
Amazing place to visit, abt an hour plane ride from Ogle Georgetown, then hiking to 3 different spots to see the falls
Another adventurous destination. Must visit!
Was a great trip there. To a plane from Georgetown and then a small hike to the falls. The trip was smoother than expected. Very secluded and unspoilt. The falls a breathtaking. I could have spent longer.
We did the day trip to Kaieteur. We only stayed two hours and I wish that we had stayed for at least two days. When we visited it rained so much and the entire way was flooded making the walk from the airstrip to the fall an adventure all by itself. The waterfall was covered by a mist which cleared every now and again to allow the visitors a glimpse the breathtaking beauty of the falls. If you're ever in Guyana then this is a must do!
Do yourself a favour, take more than a day to be here, the guest house is indeed shabby, but the place is certainly worth it. Two hours is just not enough, not even one day is.
My advice to you all... Overnight and sleep to the sound of the thunderous waters rushing over and down the magnificently wide single drop falls. You won't regret it!
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WATERFALL I HAVE EVER SEEN☺
The most beautiful waterfall I have ever seen. I have been here twice and I experienced two different water falls due to the difference in climate. A memory I will never forget.
Just breathtaking . Words can not describe the feeling.
Best bday ever!
