I've stayed here for 3 weeks a month for the last 5 months for work. The rooms are nice, but sometimes have minor maintenance issues. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is hit or miss. After 5 months, it all started to feel pretty samish either way. The biggest thing I want to caution anyone on who is thinking of staying here: if you're planning on staying a Thursday or Friday night, and are a fan of peace and quiet, request a room that is nowhere near overlooking the poolside bar. Most Thursdays and Fridays they have a house band that plays from 7:00 PM to 9:30. There's nothing like getting back to the hotel after a long day of work, and just wanting to relax in your room, but ending up being a captive audience for a mediocre house band that's playing way too loud for the space they're playing in. This has absolutely driven me nuts when I've had an ocean view room on the East side of the hotel. I get that they need to bring people in for food and drinks and if they think this is something that will draw people in, I can't blame them for doing it, but you have to consider your guests at the same time. Just be forewarned. Regardless, this is still the best hotel in Georgetown by far.

The atmosphere is amazing, food is one of a kind, absolutely loved it here.

They have a beautiful out door pool side bar, really captures the cool sea breeze, makes an amazing setting for romantic moments.

My only complain is the temperature, in the nights it gets very cold, if you are not accustomed to the cold you should probably dress for it.

I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel on September 15, 2017, this happened by accident because we were suppose to stay at another hotel. Apparently our taxi driver made a executive decision and took us to this wonderful hotel. We were extremely impressed. Every thing was immaculate and beautiful. The bed was amazing and comfy. Excellent view of the ocean from my room! I would have loved to explore some more if I had more time!!!

Oh and I must highlight, I ordered room service and had a hamburger and it was off the charts! I never knew I could eat so much, the burger was super delicious! WiFi was super fast!!!! Love that!!! I am a youtuber so I needed that type of service!!! I called the operator a few times and they were very helpful. Excellent service!!!

The highlight of my experience was the service from Francis at the bar. He was very approachable and friendly, while also being incredibly professional. I greatly appreciated the fact that he didn't make me feel rushed, and we had a very good conversation about some of the things he likes most in Guyana.

I genuinely feel that his passion for mixology and willingness to experiment with the flavors unique to Guyana could lead him to a level of expertise necessary to place in international competitions. With the right support, this could be a feature of the hotel's service that sets it apart as a destination on the international stage. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to the Marriott-- if not for the night, then at least for a good drink.

Excellent check in and check out. Wonderful breakfast options with a good mix of local dishes. I loved the pepper pot. My maid deserved a special tip because my room was kept amazingly immaculate with fresh towels and linens everyday. I would stay there anytime.

Beautiful hotel but don’t pay the extra $40 per night for the Executive Lounge. You have to pay separately for the drinks. Poor selection of alcohol, no garnished (limes) and no mixers. Just go to the Lobby bar. Three of us were charged $40 each for two nights. We arrived at11:15 the first night. The second night it was a poor experience waiting for mixers and garnishes and only 5 liquor choices. Not worth $240 for the three of us.

Service of the staff has improved except for the restaurant. There needs to be more organisation of the waitresses and their responsibility of tables. The food also needs to be addressed. For having the Marriott name, it does not meet the standard. The concierge level is a totally different experience. The staff there is friendly and attentive with the food much better than the restaurant. I am pleased to always go there and relax after work and also in the morning for breakfast. The staff there is excellent.

Excellent Service. Staff very attentive and responsive. Rooms were nicely done and there is complimentary bottled water, tea, coffee creamer and sugar in the room. Room was cleaned daily and bathroom products replenished. WiFi is not free, but can be free if signed up for Marriott Rewards.

Pool is nice. Not sure if there is access to the beach from the hotel. Food is very good, but expensive. Food is much cheaper and just as good at the Hotel next door. Good location 5 minutes away from downtown Georgetown. Active taxi service for ease of travel, and can charge the taxi too the room , to avoid paying each time.

    Would stay again.

    Well
What can I say. If you stay in Georgetown and want a modern, brand new, friendly and clean hotel, well then that's the one. Right in the beach (closed at night for a reason)

They have some shops and restaurants on site.
    Food is very good.

Large pool outside and a exceptional fitness center.

    Good internet speed.

Laundry service is expensive and there is no guest laundry.

Great views from the top floors either the ocean or overlooking the city.

TIP: book the executive rate and you get free breakfast, drinks and dinner.

The hotel is fairly new and it is evident that they pay close attention to the general upkeep of the property. Service is of a high standard. The staff often go out of their way to make you happy. The rooms are large and modern and always very well cleaned at check in. The gym is above average for a hotel gym. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel, stayed here for a couple nights while visiting Georgetown. The staff here were really great and always helpful. The restaurant wasn't so good which led me to exploring other restaurants in the area. The ambience in this hotel fits most business style and layover hotels so it's not the coziest of places.
Rooms were good, had everything that you'd need. Our room on the 7th floor was tiled and not carpeted so I'd recommend some slippers because it gets a bit cold with the AC.
Only complaint I have about the room is that we had more of a cooler than an actual fridge. I didn't use it much but I was skeptical about leaving any food stuff in there.
The room service menu was a bit lacking which had me choosing from the kids menu which I really enjoyed! Had a bit of a wait for the food though.
Fitness room was great and there was a really great view from the business sitting lounge.

I had a really great time here and I'd definitely stay here if I'm ever Georgetown again.
