Known for excellent home cooked soup German's has made a name for itself in Georgetown and the world over. The restaurant is cozy and warm and sells good soup almost daily.

The location is quite easy to find and the staff are friendly. The standards have dropped a little from a while back but that can be fixed. Give them a try and see for yourself.

Its not the same as before.
Quality of the product is poor, only pepsi max and water in the fridge along with maubee.
The prices are way too high for the poor product that is now been offered.

Positives:
Lovely atmosphere, I love the staff makes you feel as family been going there for as long as I can remember their food is delicious but the soup I must say is the greatest in Guyana. The staff is great well trained.
Negative:
Washroom facilities could do with a much needed upgrade.

I didn't take the soup, some local dish of pasta and chicken (can't remember the name). Expensive for some "buffet grade" dish and not even a tasty one.

Fantastic chicken soup! It's the Guyanese version of chicken and dumpling with slightly sweet dumplings and ground provisions (cassava/yuca, plantains, and either eddoe or yam?). Their other dishes are good, but the soup is where it's at. And be sure to get a mauby to wash it down!
