Confucius Institute at University of Guyana (CI/UG)

The Confucius Institute at the University of Guyana(CI/UG), located in UG, Turkeyen Campus, Georgetown Guyana, is a joint undertaking with UG, Dalian University of Foreign Languages (DUFL) and Hanban (Confucius Institute Headquarters located in Beijing). The CI/UG, as a window for Guyanese people to know China, will provide Chinese teaching for different types and levels of schools, communities and educational exchange organizations between China and Guyana, cooperating with government and companies for training their officials and employees with tailor-made Chinese contents. Meanwhile, Chinese cultural activities will be shown for cultural exchanges between Guyana and China. In brief the aim of the CI/UG is in the service of teaching Chinese language and understanding Chinese culture for Guyanese people from all walks of life. It is the official Chinese language teaching and cultural center as well as Chinese related information center in Guyana.

圭亚那大学孔子学院位于圭亚那首都乔治敦市圭亚那大学图科恩校区内。圭大孔院是由圭亚那大学、大连外国语大学及国家汉办（孔子学院总部，位于北京）联合创办。作为了解中国的窗口，圭大孔院将为学校、社区及中圭教育交流机构提供不同类型、不同层次的汉语教学服务；同时与政府及企业合作，为其提供个性化的培训服务。为促进中圭文化交流，圭大孔院将会举办一系列的中国文化活动。简言之，圭大孔院的宗旨就是为广大圭亚那人民提供汉语教学及了解中国文化服务。圭大孔院是圭亚那国家正规的汉语教学、中国文化以及中国相关信息中心。
