It was pretty. It was also very clean. The zoo was a bit disappointing. But I loved the fact that there were manatee under the famous Kissing Bridge. I was able to touch one which was the best experience for me.

Huge land area with grown up tropical trees to walk around in. In the botanic parc garden a lot of topical trees and palms are represented. All trees and bushes have been provided with a descriptive text label which have been granted by the eminent petrol and oil company Esso Exxon of the USA. The labels are very informative and helpful for the novice and learner of biology. An adjesent big natioanl zoo is also present with the typical most important animals of the Guyana nation for example the endangered Jaguar and cougar..

Great place to go to during the day if you are driving and need somewhere quiet to stop by. There are trees that you can park under and relax enjoying the shade. It is safe, clean and the place is normally very quiet.

The ground staff seek to keep the ponds and grounds clean quite often

Very disappointed this is not taken care of. Guyana has so many exotic plants and flowers that can't be found anywhere else in the world and its not reflected in this Garden at all. Usually when you think botanical gardens you think relaxation and nature but that's not the case at all here. I was so upset to go home and see the way this botanical gardens is I mean basic things like cutting the grass and up keeping the trees that are there already is not done. At least bit wasn't while I was there. Very disappointed because we have all the resources in Guyana to make this a one of a kind botanical gardens one like no other in the world and its not being taken advantage of 😟😟😟😟😟

I was really disappointed with what I saw. The place was filthy. The ponds outside in the garden were filled with an overgrowth of weeds and garbage. it was also clear that the grass hasn't been cut for quite some time. The zoo itself is terrible. Big animals confined to live in small cages unable to stretch their legs or wings. It's a very sad sight and a lot of work needs to be done.
