Did not stay at the hostel but booked the two day Acatenango hike tour at Wicho & Charlie’s.
Staff is super friendly and helpful.
Comparing them to other companies offering the tour it seems like the best deal.
You do not need to carry the camping gear yourself and get 2 breakfasts, lunch and dinner and the guides. Payed $45 p.p. for the tour and was totally happy with it. Price also includes warm clothes if you don’t have your own.
Only thing I found disappointing was that we were promised to get the opportunity to go from base camp to summit for sunset AND sunrise the next morning. Though, our tour guide was too lazy to go up again for sunrise the next morning to we couldn’t neither.
Still 5/5 because it was just the tour guide being too tired and not Wicho & Charlie’s themselves.

Such a fun place to hang out. Love the friendly staff and the rooftop hammock. We also did the Volcan Acatenango hike through Wicho and Charlie and it was such an awesome experience!! It's a little more than a lot of the other tours but we had a lot more offered to us and a better time than other people. Definitely recommend the volcano hike with W&C

This place had a super weird vibe for me, I'm not sure if the staff just didn't like me or what but trying to get a hello out of most of them was difficult. Felt super cliquey and not at all welcoming into their little group. I had considered volunteering here before arrival but it was immediately obvious that this was not the place for me. The hostel is small and they don't let you use the kitchen, and the social scene is pretty much non existent. Otherwise it's a nice place to sleep with decent showers. Beds are super comfy, clean and private. My recommendation is that it's a great place to go if you're sick or not feeling well cause it's not far from the grocery store and the beds are nice.

Wicho and Charlie's is welcoming and comfortable place to have your temporary home away from home. Beds are comfortable and privet and everyone is very friendly and ready to answer all your questions and wonders. Great location and option to pay with your card, if you are trying to save some precious cash for your market purchases and so on.

Sweet hostel! The location is good, you can walk to downtown in few minutes. The hostel is very cozy and clean. The beds are wide and closed by curtains. You can also sleep in two in one bed for 1 and a half the price! The hostel has a jacuzzi which is just ideal after climbing the vulcano! Also the welcome drink is a lovely idea!

One of the best hostels I have stayed in! Everyone from the staff are super nice and welcoming, the dorms have very good privacy and the sheets and pillows are awesome. I’ve never seen such clean toilets & showers at hostel – trash is emptied continuously, they never run out of toilet paper and it’s just 100% clean all the time. Even though the hostel is small, the atmosphere is really nice and friendly, everyone hangs out at the reception or tables at the back. In addition, their Acatenango-tour was an amazing experience and they have all the good gear available for you to borrow (some hostels don’t have sleeping bags that are meant for cold weather etc.). Plus they have a Jacuzzi, Nintendo64 and free coffee!

We booked the Acatenengo tour at Wicho & Charlie's and were very excited to go. Sadly the weather got poor so we were messaged that we could either change our dates or get our money back. We chose the last option since we didn't have other dates available. Very good service nonetheless. Definitely recommend this place!

I absolutely loved staying at Wicho and Charlie's! The beds are super comfortable and very private. The bathrooms are always clean and the water is always hot. The people who work there are really friendly and helpful, I felt right at home. The breakfast is available for a fee but is plentiful and tasty. I also did the Acatenango hike with Which and Charlie's and that was brilliant. It was really difficult but the guides were lovely and helped us and took care of us the whole way. They provided us with ample food and the sleeping bags were warm. All in all everything was a fantastic experience and j highly recommend Wicho and Charlie's to anyone visiting Antigua.

Chose to do the volcano hike with this hostel and it couldn't have been better! The food was amazing and the guides were very attentive. Andrea from Wicho and Charlie is also super amazing, she was super helpful and booked our bus for us!

We didn't stay at the hostel, but booked the Acatenango Volcano Tour through them. Really professional, safe and fun. Meals and gear provided. Highly recommend them. The guides are very experienced, they look after the group very well. It makes a massive difference carrying light bags ( as opposed to carrying heavy tents). Book through them, you will not be disappointed! The meals are delicious and far better than what some other companies provide. Ignore the big tour agencies, these guys work with locals and the money goes to them. You will have a safe and pleasant experience, spacious tent, delicious food and a great adventure to remember.

Didn't stay at this hostel but did the Acatenango 2 day hike run by the hostel.
The hike was. Amazing, the best hike I've ever done! It was extremely well organised with excellent kit and delicious food. The guides were great, very knowledgeable and felt very safe. The hike is hard but totally worth it.
Highly recommend doing it with this hostel, definitely had the best experience.
    Hostel also looked really nice!

This place has the most comfortable and clean beds of any hostel that ive stayed in the past 3 weeks of travel in Guate. Also, their bathrooms are clean and the showers have good pressure and heat. The spa wasnt working the night i stayed but the people there were great. Whenever im back in antigua, ill be staying here again.
