Praying for all that’s trapped in the volcanos path 😔 so saddened and heartbroken. May all be well and safe, and the ones who were taken by the eruption, Rest In Peace. Sweet name of Jesus, mother marry, god and the Holy Ghost, amen.

My Mom is from the exact area that this volcanic eruption took place. She's no longer with us since she passed away in 2012 of breast cancer. Her body was flown back to her native country and was buried in her native town, Escuintla Guatemala. I and my siblings never met or knew whom our extended family members are in this region but I'm so saddened by it. I do know my grandma and great grandma are still alive and were living within the region of the volcano. I remember seeing old photos of my mother and her siblings with the volcano in the background. It's so sad not to know anything about my family on my mother's side. I've been wondering if they're still alive and well. This is very tragic, and I'm looking in ways to help out the people of my mom's home country. God bless these poor people. They definitely need our help right now.

I first heard of the fuego volcano on the BBC NEWS because of the ERUPTION that has occurred. . My heart goes out to the people who live and lost their lives. ..I looked at the 360° picture and it looks absolutely awesome especially the mountain in the foreground with the clouds hugging it and sweeping around its middle. ..R.I.P TO ALL THAT LOST THEIR LIVES.

Beautiful country, incredibly spiritual people who live in that region. May the Lord help these people to rise out of the ruins of what is occurred and to flourish again. Lord hear my prayer.

Climbed the neighboring Acatenango volcano to get the best view on Volcan de Fuego.
The pretty exhausting 6,5 hour hike was totally worth every second! The view you get on top is incredible! If you get lucky you will even see him spitting lava, which I unfortunately didn’t. Still one of the best experiences ever!response / report this review -

The most power act of nature I've ever witnessed! Worth the strenuous hike to view this monstrosity! Saw it erupt in a fiery blaze last night thanks to the Super Moon!

Wanting to get a closer look at Volcán de Fuego, a highly active volcano in Guatemala, I hiked the adjacent Acatenango Volcano and camped near the summit. Under the moonlight, I set my tripod up just outside the tent, and at around 1:30 AM, was awakened to the rumbling of the ground and the sound of a breath-stealing explosion. I scrambled to the camera just in time to capture a moonlit and lava-covered Fuego as it put on a beautiful display of activity and power.

We were amazed at how active this volcano is! Several times a day it emits ash and smoke and at night you can occasionally see lava spew out. It is very humbling to witness.

One of the most beautiful phenomenons that I’ve over seen. I climbed Vulcan acatenango and just before sun set I took another hike to Vulcan fire. It was a tough walk on the dark yet the views from the explosion and the lava are AMAZING.
