  Salamandras House is THE best family-operated Hotel and Guide resource you can hire for exploring and enjoying the Pacaya volcano and its changing crater and the incredible vistas from the top. Unlike the ordinary half day cattle-trek tours most tourists hire, Salamandras House provides you with a clean place to stay and the opportunity to climb and descend the Pacaya at your own pace. This is a trip of a lifetime and it can only be enjoyed with sufficient time. My wife and I - both in our sixties - truly enjoyed our hike and managed to take breathtaking photos. We were able to return to Guatemala City fully rested and in great shape.

  Un increíble lugar, cómodo agradable y acogedor. Además de estar cerca a muchos sitios turísticos de la zona, una muy linda experiencia ahí, espero volver!

  I had the opportunity to go to the Pacaya Volcano, Escuintla; stayed at the Salamandra House hotel, very friendly environment, clean and comfortable small hotel, delicious food, good walk to the volcano top; you can enjoy an authentic Mayan bath, (called Tamazcal) a short distance from beautiful Antigua Guatemala, a must see!
