This location is stunning. You feel like you are in a secret garden. The price was on the more expensive side, but still not unreasonable. I got the Vegetarian Sandwich and it was awesome.

Amazing food, great atmosphere, and the cocktails at the courtyard bar are out of this world! Also a store front with tons of natural products & a chocolate counter. You could stay for hours.

This place is a little bit pricey but the food is great and the inner courtyard is so beautiful. Plan to bring your camera and spend some time amongst the tranquil gardens and singing birds. The chocolate shop in the front offers some of the best local chocolate in Antigua. Delicious!

This restaurant was a discovery for us: walking around Antigua at night, this was a real gem of a discovery: the good setting (-surrounded by leaves, trees, bird-noises); the staff being very welcoming, communicative and joyful.
Then the food came - and each of us had a selection of vegetarian, gluten-free - as well as meat dishes, For us, there was a real 'Sensibility' and good taste with the way the different foods and ingredients were put together, and had a feeling of 'just right' afterwards. On their website, it says 'bienestar', and indeed it is one of well-being. Truly recomended :)response / report this review -

Extensive menu with all sorts of healthy food that includes vegetarian options. I had the vegetarian sandwich with portabello mushrooms and my friend had the Thai salad. Both were filling and delicious! The service was also friendly and efficient. Recommended!

Saberico has long been a lunchtime favorite for my friends and I️. My first time here was a few years ago with a group of 12, and I️ was hooked! You walk into what looks like it will be a bakery or some type of deli, just to walk back through a still narrow section and you see a small garden area. That small garden area opens to two larger sections and you are perched between the plants in a garden heaven.
Unfortunately for us, it seems like the restaurant is going through some changes. They have always had maracas at the tables so you could shake them to get the attention of your server. This go around, the string was still connected to the table but there were no maracas connected to the end. This made it either a disturbance to have to go find out server or we had to wait longer than we should have to ask a question. The food was still delicious, I️ ordered a burger for my first time and enjoyed it. The types of bread with the salads have changed but my friends said they still enjoyed them, even with a bit of a different feel.
I️ would highly recommend and if their fruit smoothies with ginger, or the other pairings they offer.
Another thing that was very strange this time around were the menus. They used to have a beautiful laminated and bound menu that was in English and Spanish, this time we were handed printed pages that were dirty, only in Spanish, and thrown onto a clipboard. I️ truly hope they are in transition to a new, and improved menu.response / report this review -

Happy to find this place. Had the Salmon Burger with papa fritas and house made chimmichurri, which was delicious. A lot of the food in Antigua tastes the same, and this place was able to offer unique flavors which was appreciated. A bit pricey but worth a visit. Sat in the garden at the back which had a charming array of noisy birds in cages, which was interesting and strange at the same time Crazy extensive desert menu if you've got a sweet tooth.

Great food for sure, but high prices at the restaurant. Lonely Planet's Central America On a Shoestring, at least at one time, recommended this place, but they meant the take-out deli food, not the restaurant which is far too pricey to be considered 'on a shoestring'. All things considered though, very tasty stuff restaurant or deli.

I used to love this place but keep getting more and more disappointed every time I come back. We ordered cappuccinos and dessert this time around. First, the same piece of cake costs almost 3 times as much at the restaurant than to go. However, the biggest complaint was that our cappuccinos were made with regular drip coffee and not espresso. We returned these and got them made properly, but shouldn't have to ask to have it made this way. Anyway, I am returning less and less to a place I used to highly recommend.
