Excellent place, good guest service. Lifts are old and very slow. We couldn't enjoy the swimming pool because they did maintenance to it, the weekend that we stayed. Really? Maintenance in a weekend? They should do it in a weekday.

The hotel is alright overall, but the atmosphere is not very good. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation this is definitely not the place. It is very loud for most of the entire day. They are always playing very loud music outside that gets very irritating as the day goes on.

Quality hotel! Great views, clean rooms, and hood service. Breakfast was also pretty good. Not the very best hotel I've ever stayed in but certainly satisfied with my experience!

Amazing views. Close to tiendas and markets. Easy walk or tuk tuk to restaurants and bars. Launchas are very close. Onsite restaurant and bar available as well. Very clean and the staff will speak English.

I really wouldn't recommend this place. They play REALLY loud music outside non-stop from 9am to 11pm. We turned on the TV but you can never get away from the music. I actually lost a little of my sanity after staying here, but the staff was friendly so I couldn't give them a one star rating.

There are better, smaller places to stay in Pana. We were disappointed. The bigger places sometimes sacrifice service and security for quantity of guests. That is what happens here.

We were only day guest at the pool, but lunch was wonderful and the staff treated us like we were staying in the penthouse 😀 On our list of places to stay next time!

I think we got super super lucky here! Amazing rooms with amazing views. The staff was very nice. We got to learn about the operations here, and it was great hearing about all the things they do for their employees and others in the community.

Hotel Porta del Lago, although a little bit expensive compared to other local hotels, is one of the best places to relax and have fun in family. It offers a restaurant with nice, typical food (and buffet for hungry people), and a big, fun swimming-pool in which kids like adults can play as well as a sauna. The Hotel is directly in front of the lake, which offers a beautiful view of the Atitlán lake and its volcanos.
I recommand choosing the right day to go there though: highly popular, it gets full rapidly, and sometimes there's a party next to the pool with very loud, annoying "reggaeton" music. It stays a very good place to have fun and relax. Make sure to bring sunscreen! :)response / report this review -

A beautiful hotel in a spectacular location. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay. My only criticism is its elevator seems to be temperamental.

If you're a back packer or low key traveler you'll fit right inon site restaurant is good too and they offer all the local tour's.
