Loved this place, very exclusive, great food, great service. It is beautifully made and the rooms are great. This is one of the best Hotels in Antigua Guatemala. Would really recomend this place to someone else.

Absolutely stunning! We were grated with fresh orange juice and warm wash clothes with eucalyptus and orange oil. Very beautiful, very accommodating, hotel staff is great!

The hotel is beautiful and food is incredible. However, the rooms are a little dated. They put too many towels, don't put away things like the iron machine when they clean the room and the floors of the bathrooms were really dirty.

Pensativo house hotel was amazing! My new husband and I got married there three weeks ago, the hotel was beautiful with perfect views. Everyone at the hotel were so accommodating and helpful. It is a little pricey, but the food and the accommodations is woth the price. Thank you Everyone at Pensativo for making my wedding everything I dreamed of!!❤️😉

When you arrive, you have someone greeting you. Making sure that you are a guest. (Good Safety) Front gate opens. The person at the gate will guide you to the reception office and introduce you. As you walk through the gate, and to the reception, you feel a sense of security. Welcomed, warm and lush plants and flowers. No expense is spared. A calm and relax environment awaits you. The reception area is exquisite surrounded by a courtyard and stunning sitting areas. Professional customer service at its best. Here you are spoiled not just 'attended to' You are treated with great respect, so allow yourself to feel spoiled. The personnel has been carefully selected as each holds the true "Gift" of service to others. Rooms are very cozy, smells of wood as each room piece that is wood is real wood. Colonial style furniture with a touch of Guatemalan accents. Very clean. Daily housekeeping. Late evening coffee on the terrace is relaxing and plentiful to the soul. Food in the restaurant is amazing. Taste and presentation was very good. Anything that we needed we received with smiling faces and willing hearts. Heart is what is here. Gaby in the front foyer has lots of information on what to do and can arrange a day for you. Juan Carlos in the restaurant will make sure you have an exceptional dining experience. Yolanda will make sure your room is clean, and your beds are curtains are drawn (turn down service) for when you get back from a day of activities, your bed and room is inviting you to relax. The hotel is in a quiet part of town away from the center of town. It doesn't feel safe at night. We got a standard room with seating area and balcony. It feels like being in a cave and dark, damp, and smelly with little natural light. We complained and the receptionist offered an extra lamp. Unbelievable! They advertised a balcony and it's a moldy unused fountain. Very disgusting!

Stay away from the standard rooms. Poor ventilation and no natural light. There rooms are basically in the basement. Was unable to change the room next day even though I was told a better room would be available

Amazing place! Feels like you've stepped back in time. Exquisite decor. Every space is full of visual attraction (gorgeous plants, inviting sitting areas, ancient artwork, etc.) Relaxing outdoor spaces and cozy indoor spaces. One of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed.
