The airport is nice, it has the basic services, it is a small one, that isn't a problem but it is a little deterioated. There is no Wifi and if you need something to eat it has a little restaurant where you can try local food. There is also a mall next to it which can be good if you need to go to the bank, buy some food or groceries.

This is a place near to Flores Petén, it is a incredible idea so tourist can arrive by plane because arrive by car can take to much time, to Guatemala City to Petén in car you spend arround 9 hours but if you travel by plane you will spend only 45 minutes, so it is a great option so you can have more time to stay in Petén, and in this airport, you can visit Tikal, the mayan world so fast, it will take 45 minutes in car to arrive to Tikal, hoppe tou travel and visit this fantastic place soon. Nice airport. Instead of taking a taxi, we went to Flores walking. 30 minutes after we were there, saving some money. 🛫🛩

For me it's the right place to arrive in Guatemala cause you can visit the Mayan World. After that you have to go to Guatemala city which is the biggest and modern city in Central America and has a big airport

Really nice airport. I say this because it was larger than I expected - spacious would be the word. And as a spacious airport, the lines were short. The airport has plenty of room to feel relaxed and easy going.

A bizarre mixture of local and international airport - you can arrive on a domestic flight from Guatemala City (minimal or absent security), but your trip back there will be treated like an international flight (strict security, with restrictions of liquids and metal objects and other stuff). It makes as much sense as having to manually pay the airport tax on site as you leave rather than it being paid for by your airline.
