Wonderful Island in Flores Peten,very close to Tikal.

A place to stay if you wanna go to Tikal. To explore all island takes an hour maximum. There is noting much to see or do, just some restaurants or souvenir and food shops and travel agancies. There is one ATM in one the shop. You can go swimming but there is noting like a beach, for that you have to take a boat and go to some other part of the lake.

Amazing experience. Felt like I was in some costal European city due to the colours and the cobblestones. Highly recommend going to Jorge’s Rope swing, just a boat ride away. Also the restaurant Raíces was a great spot to eat and watch the sunset.

La isla es increíble. Muy segura, se puede conseguir alojamiento barato. Lo más lindo es ir a ver el atardecer, desde diferentes puntos de puede disfrutar. Las calles son bien chicas así que es recomendable moverse a pie. En menos de 30 minutos e la recorre entera.

This place is awesome to stay before you head over to Tikal. It has a lot of restaurants/ bars and hotels to you to enjoy. It has a great view of the lake and the people there are friendly. I highly suggest you check out Raices Restaurant really amazing food great environment marimba in the background and they even have a boat that you could jump on at night and travel the lake and hear urban legend stories.

Although not so much to do here as it is a very small place, it is nice to walk around its streets. Definitely go to the night market that offers cheap and really good typical food..
