  Don't stay here.
  Every window shade in every room is too short to allow for privacy. If that wasnt weird enough, every window shade in every room has at least one quarter sized hole in it.
  
  I brought this up with manager who said I made a very good observation. He said "los ojos" in the curtains would allow someone to see inside and to rob you. No explanation was given for lack of security and privacy. Especially because room contains no lockboxes.
  
  I stayed overnight, and my stuff was never touched, but i cant recommend that anyone stay at Hotel Helen, or their new name, Casa Rolando.

  Stayed here twice so far and plan on coming back.
  
  Perfect getaway as long as you are in San Pedro for the right reasons good food, good drink, freindly atmosphere, and hungover hikes up the Volcan. It can get loud at night with all the bars nearby but they close reletavely early.
  
  Freddy and family are some of the nicest people I've met.
  
  Hotel Helen is cheap, clean, great views, free clean drinking water, coffee, kitchen and gorgeous rooftop hangout.

  Muy buena opción para alojarse en San Pedro. Habitaciones económicas y cómodas, con buenas vistas. Lo más top es el ático con billar Lo único negativo es que por las noches se escuchan mucho los bares que quedan cerca, aunque a las 11 se acaba la fiesta.

  Had a great stay at Hotel Helen. Solid wifi and a nice quiet place to stay. Very friendly staff, great views and free filtered water. Not really a hostel vibe so a little difficult to meet people but if you're not looking for that this place is great!

  El hotel está muy cerca del embarcadero, lo que es ideal si llegas en bote. Las habitaciones son básicas pero están muy limpias y tienen baño privado. Todas tienen una vista del lago muy bonita y hamacas en el balcón. La familia que lleva el hotel es muy amable y atenta. Te ayudan en todo lo posible.
  Hay una cocina bien equipada con café gratis y agua purificada. En el último piso hay una zona para sentarse y jugar al billar.
  Lo único NEGATIVO de este lugar es el RUIDO. Hay un par de bares muy ruidosos justo al lado. Uno de ellos hace conciertos todas las noches hasta las 11 de la noche y las paredes del hotel retumban. Cierto que la música acaba a las 11 pero durante casi toda la noche se sigue oyendo a la gente hablar al pasar.

  Ambiance chaleureuse avec une vue magnifique sur le lac atitlan! Le personnels est très sympathiques et l'hôtel est propre avec eau chaude.
