The bread is delicious! They have some French style bread like croissant but they also have some Guatemalan style bread like pan dulce and champurradas. Their sandwiches are good and also the salad. The place from the entrance looks small but it has a garden and many tables

One of the best places to have coffee, desert, or breakfast in Antigua. Usually live music Fridays and Saturdays. Always full for breakfast.

El Viejo cafe has the best French bread in town Not just French bread but a full delicious bakery where you can get a great breakfast or lunch.. they open until 10 and also have a full bar if you want a light dinner and some drinks. With their different ambiences it is a great place to stop by and grab some food in Antigua Guatemala

Great spot for breakfast. Fresh food and American style food. They have light options and vegan choices too. Great ambience, great service. We loved it so much we came three times. Will definitly come back.

I'm slightly surprised by the very high rating! Our service was pretty bad (messed up our order, not very attentive & wrong bill), the sandwiches were highly overpriced & the ciabatta was far from a real ciabatta. The smoothie and the filling of the sandwich were delicious though.

Oh El Viejo Cafe! We talk about you when we are not in Antigua. Breakfast here multiple times each visit is a must. Fresh, flaky croissants (arrive early or they’ll be gone), lovely coffee, and fabulous breakfast options. We’ve never had anything we didn’t like here. This time the avocado omelette and eggs with smoked chorizo did the trick. We will be back of course.

Nice cafe/bakery with lovely staff. Their take-out 'Pepito' baguettes make a great breakfast or lunch and are reasonably priced at around Q15, my favourite was the the ham and avocado. Nice coffees too.

I only came here for an iced coffee, but I've also had their pan dulce which is excellent! They are known for their bread which you can take to go from the bakery at the front, or you can enjoy with a coffee or a meal in the courtyard in the back. Beautiful and has good wifi!

Probably the only place in Antigua with a decent baguette-like bread, I highly recommend their pepitos (sandwiches to go).

The cafe is all right, the wifi decent for guatemala and it's an overall nice place to hang out.

Went here for lunch on Sunday and we were very happy with the food, price for what you get and the friendly staff. There is a lovely court yard in the back where you can sit as well.
