When I first visited San Marcos, this place was wild & littered with plastic. Not so nice. Now it is a beautifully kept treasure of sacred land with Mayan ceremonial fire pits which are regularly used by both locals & indigenous people.

Very well kept, amazing view spot, possibility to swim and dive from a 10m platform, all in a tiny gem. Good staff at the entrance for info.

Very interesting and beautiful ecological reserve. It has a hight deck to jump into Atitlan Lake. There is no decent bathroom and there are no showers.

It's not only about nature and great views, it's as well about having the guts to jump from an eight meter platform and landing in the right way! Lots of fun with your friends cheering you up to jump or making fun of you if you don't dare to. So you better come prepared or face the consequences!

There are some great views around here! Would totally recommend coming here!
You're supposed to pay to get in but often there is no one manning the booth.
Sometimes the views can be obscured by the trees but really that's such a small point and is still definitely worth the adventure.response / report this review -

What a great place to hang out and take in the sun, water and scenery. The diving platform is about 6-7 metres high and takes some nerve to leap from, but well worth it. Bring a few beers and some food and make an afternoon of it. Just remember to take out all your trash and keep the water clean. There are trash cans but why create more work for other people. Pack in, pack out. Only Q15 per person (foreigner price).

Totally the most beautiful, most chill places relax. There is place(platform) where you can jump to water from like 10m, then there is a lot of stones in sun or in shadow where you can read and relax. Workers really try to make the park beautiful everyday more and more!

San Marcos has few natural attractions is any however one we know well is this little reserve.
The best part is you can sun bath and safely swim along the shores of San Marcos.
A great fun place for family and kids to enjoy a day on the water.response / report this review
