A great place to be in touch with the nature amazing views with the pacaya vulcano like the principal attraction.

Great views; Yet, a difficult hike to get to the top to appreciate those views; Plus, live/hot lava rocks - just on the other side - once you've reached the top . Approximately 7,000 feet up .

Great medium volcano for a day hike. You can go up in about 1.5h and another 1.5h for the time you're up there and the way down. Not easy if you're out of shape but doable. There are horses you can ride also. The entrance is Q25. You must have a guide that will cost Q200 for groups of up to 12 persons. There is parking at the entrance.

This was my first time walking up a volcano and was a great part of my stag weekend with my two brothers. The views from the top of the volcano were amazing, although we weren't able to get to climb right to the top of the creator as it is an active volcano. We cooked marshmallows in a small creator and we rode horses down for Q100, which was a great experience. There is also this small and unique gift shop near the top of the volcano.
