Here at Cafe Arqueologico Yax-ha we aim to spread knowledge of ancient Mayan culture. We offer a wide variety of old and new photos of different archeological sites, books and maps and slide show evenings.

*Restaurant:
Our main focus is on the Mayan Culture as you can tell by our menu:
You can choose between several traditional Mayan breakfasts that will make you start your day just right!
Besides international and vegetarian dishes we also serve a variety of other Mayan specialities for lunch or dinner.
Our meals contain local ingredients that have existed in this area for hundreds of years and were used by the Mayans in their daily lives.

When you need a break from the heat, come in for a delicious, homemade smoothie. Our "liquados" are made-to-order with a selection of fresh fruit, tasty ingredients, and refreshing natural juice mix. Feel free to enjoy your smoothie in our cafe, with free wireless internet and a peaceful atmosphere, or grab one to-go and explore Flores with a tasty treat.


*Accomodation:
We offer 7 rooms of different sizes just above the Cafe with a personal bathroom and free Wi-Fi.
It is also possible to rent one of our lake view apartments:
Located at the Lago Peten Itza you can sit on the porch, enjoying a cool gallo, while watching the beautiful unique sunset over the lake.

Do you want to explore the Mayan world around Flores? Here at the Cafe we also offer scientific tours that aim to protect Mayan sites and provide you, the traveler and explorer, with the opportunity to gain a deep insight into active archeological project.
