  Lovely cafe, very friendly staff, delicious coffee and hot chocolate. Definitely felt very western hipstertotally different world to the one over the doorstep so not what I would call an authentic Lago de Atitlán lifestyle experience, but very comfortable and enjoyable.

  Cafe Rafa has a wide variety of coffee drinks (which come in to go cups, somewhat of a rarity in Santiago!) and sells some of the best cakes you can get in town. They also have bags of ground local coffee for sale. I live in Santiago Atitlan and go to Cafe Rafa whenever I'm missing the coffee shops back home. Cafe Rafa has good wifi, so it's a good place to get work done or just to meet the (always interesting) other patrons.
