Meteora is a unigue geological wonder wth notable Monasteries sprinkled throughout the megaliths. The crafty Zindros shop is tasteful, with a helpful staff; wide range of souvenirs & religious objects. Worth stopping for.
Experts in marketing that are trying to sell you the same products you can find in various other places with an enormous price ( even 60-70% differences )
Good place but to high prices.
Interesting place, huge offer, clean and with nice personnel and very kind atmosphere. I guess you need time to get something for your soul but definitely you will find what you’re looking for. Four stars just because I considered all a bit expensive.
Not really worth the effort, unless you're a die-hard icon enthusiast. Small-scale workshop, in fact just a corner with an artisan, and the rest is a souvenir shop Also featuring various icons for sale, naturally, but at 250-300€ for hand-printed originals I did not find the works worth my coin.
Went in here and had a demonstration on how they made the pictures and added gold leaf to the frame, the prices were good and a large choice of sizes and pictures to pick from, they also do many other souvenirs and books about Meteora in several languages.
Absolute tourist trap! Some of the stuff that they were selling for € 34.00, which was a discounted price, found them on Kalampaka Square at € 2.50! I feel sorry for those who get fleeced here. There is one particularly extra smart lady who makes a great sales pitch. Buses stop here and the tour companies gets hefty commission. Their profit margin is s high that they conduct a raffle among the buyers in the bus and gives away some freebies.
This shop is a tourist scam. I bought a ring here which I was told was silver containing an opal stone - I was hurried along by the sales assistant and in haste I bought it - only to realize when I got home did I realize it was a fake.
My husband bought two expensive artworks, he was told that they were original - hand painted and created with gold leaf. It even contained a certificate of authenticity at the back. He opened it up later on and realized that it was a printed picture and NOT hand painted. Beware!
My friends were sold fake goods here during a tour. Salesperson blatantly lied about multiple items which were bought. Will not be returning here.
Forced to visit during a tour. I dont like this sketchy bussiness
If passed the second time in the last 4 years and have not noticed anything new a local business that sells souvenirs icons and nothing wow!
😂
If you’re looking for some souvenirs this is the place to be. Aside from original icons you can get all the gimmick that is spread over Greece - if you buy it here, you can concentrate on the places you vist later and not get distracted by the merchandisers.
Nice hand made icons , great gift shop
yet another tourist trap that tour companies force you to visit.
