Okay, the way we figured it the Zante Inn and the Zante Blue Beach are owned by the same company Med Hotels! When you check in you have to check in at the Zante Blue Beach reception when you eat (if all Inc) you eat at what appears to be the Zante Blue Beach eatery. If you want drinks you can only get these from what is left of the original Zante Inn food court (very basic) if you go to the bar at the Zante blue Beach you have to pay for the same drinks, this is a bit odd as they are both owned by the same chain, but it is what it is, a Red wrist band for the Zante Inn and a Blue one for the Zante Blue Beach. The food is tasty and adequate with some traditional Greek dishes thrown in (no pun intended) the meats are well cooked the salads are very good all Mediterranean fruits and veg and there is variety. The rooms are dated but clean and serviced daily, the pools must have been repaired since some of the older reviews. If you want the sea view get yourself a table or lounger at the Zante Blue Beach this may be difficult at peak season but from here you can throw a stone to the sea as it is right at the shores edge (don't throw stones). We went at the end of the season when it was almost empty and got a very cheap all inclusive deal so our review is based on mainly on value for money and we really cannot complain. The staff were all friendly and helpful. If you are paying big money you may expect higher standards from the rooms. To us when holidaying in places like grease Italy etc we always bear in mind that standards are relative and we get what we pay for, so we were happy overall.
Dirt and terrible condition of the rooms. Very weak food.
Good place to a silent vacation but no wifi in the rooms. Staff is frendly and helpful. Food good enough in quality and amount too. Sea is near and nice, especially the Kevi caves. See them with a 3 hours guided trip.
No sun lounger mats or towels .food average drinks poor , rooms clean but shabby ,air con noisy and didn't work properly, bar closed at 10pm ,no one on reception to greet you, steps and stairs to apartments in a state of disrepair, gorgeous little resort would go back but not I this hotel though
Graded as three star however more like a minus one star !!!!! You arrive and are basically stuck there the whole time we were there people were at the desk complaining, it is also known as turtle beach. The manager said it was not advertised as self catering and it is but there are no facilities apart from a fridge, therefore room only (more like a hostel room). We were moved after several times complaining to an area where the staff live, which was better than the area that the guests stayed. If you expect a tv, forget it.
There was however one saving grace the Russian girl on reception was the most pleasant and helpful person I have ever met. The other receptionist the american was on the whole quite rude and unhelpful sadly. We were told there were no buses on the Island by her, but to our surprise we found plenty (every half hour) from Laganas that cover the whole Island !! 1.6 Euros great value.
The locals all know about the hotel and as soon as you say where you are they all know it is awful.
People paid for all inclusive and were all eating out as they said the food was awful.
The rooms aren't cleaned regularly it took five days for our towels to be changed and our sheets and that was the only time they were changed.
The pool had the bridge cordoned off, broken underwater lights with jagged broken plastic and uncovered filters as long as you avoid these then I suppose its safe??
You have to pay for air conditioning, minimum of three days and the safe is in the main hall, which you also have to pay for. Both are necessary if you want to sleep. Take extra cash for this if you dare visit this hotel.
The area is beautiful but the hotel was shocking I would advise anyone to avoid this hotel. Book into another hotel with good trip adviser rating.
Wi-Fi didn't work at any point and only available in the Turtle Beach reception, pointless.
The kids pool is dangerous too as one little girl slipped and split her lip when we were there (chipped, sharp tiles, no hand rails).
Many of the Sunbeds (plastic ones) were broken or in need of a good clean.
Every single time we were by the reception, someone was getting there hair off after seeing there room. I have never seen anything like it
Would I stay there again - never in a month of sundays and will be complaining to the holiday company.
Fantastic area to visit and people are really nice, Best holiday ever, as long as your not in the hotel.
You have been warned from experience
