Visited this hotel in summer, amidst the coronavirus pandemic and I was happy about the safety measures taken. From the very first minute they offered us free sanitizer and they took our temperature. Besides the info regarding the pandemic, this hotel was in an ideal location (just a 5minute drive from Alexandroupoli's centre + at a walking distance from the beach).Staff was friendly and helpful. However, the breakfast was kind of simple and poor, but perhaps the pandemic forced them be less extravagant. All in all, Thalassa was a quiet and clean, regular hotel. Not the best, nor the worst.

The hotel is placed at a convenient spot and the rooms are spacious and clean. The kitchenette was disconnected though and the public spaces too small. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I can highly recommend this hotel. The location is perfect. Just across the street is the beach with a few beach bars. A supermarket is just next to it. The city centre with nice tavernas is also close.
The rooms are always clean and big. In front of the hotel there are a lot of parking spaces.
The owner really pay attention to the needs of the guests and are always helpful and friendly. I haven't seen often such a good breakfast in Greece. They prepare pancakes (Crepe) and omelettes which is great.
I would recommend this hotel to all my friends who visit Alexandroupoli.response / report this review -

It is a sort of bed and breakfast and it is a bit expensive (i payed for an overnight just 20 € less than what i would have payed in a 5 star).
In winter climatization is very poor (in my case was hot and i had to sleep with the windows open). IMO it is a place for long staying in summer holidays.response / report this review -
