This is the worst hotel experience ever. I travel for work so I have been through quite a few. None of the language below is exaggerating. 1. The hotel messed up our online reservation. 2. The room has no window and it is the smallest room on that floor. The lighting is extremely bad too. 3. The WORST part is that there are bed bugs. BED BUGS!!!!!!! It has been 2 weeks, I still have bite marks on my neck and back. [I have pictures to prove this. Not a great sight for I did not upload the actual picture] When we bought this to the front desk, the best they can do is give us the same type of room on a higher floor as a upgrade (the room is slightly bigger but still no windows) SERIOUSLY!!!! If the same room is available, why give us the worst room in the entire hotel 4. The air conditioner is broker. Since there was no window, the room was really stuffy. This applies to both rooms. When we bring this to the front desk, they said "you do not need air conditioning, it is not hot, there should be a nice breeze" (this is almost 90% word for word). We insisted the room's temperate is not great and the air is stuffy. They finally said they will send somebody up but NEVER happened 5. Since there is no air control, it was really dry in the room and stuffy, you can imagine the sleep quality. We would wake up on average 4 - 5 times per night. 6. Tiny TV for a 5 star hotel. Motels have better rooms than this. Now for the only saving grace part, the restaurant has great view and okay food.
The location and views from this hotel are amazing. The facilities are beautiful, in old school Greek lux style. It’s quite charming. Food - could be better. Staff - very friendly. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you plan to spend your time in the center of town.
Terrible hotel. This is really a 2 star hotel pretending to be 5 stars. There was what appeared to be the beginnings of black mold formation on the ceiling of our bathroom. That was gross enough already for us to feel uncomfortable. Good thing we only planned to stay one night here. Then in the morning around 645a, we call the operator for more q-tips. We were told they would bring them. Five minutes later, we had to call again because they didn’t arrive. We were told they were on their way, and then we were asked to hold. Then they told us no one is available to bring it until 8am. That’s just ridiculous that a supposed 5 star hotel has nobody to bring q-tips at 645a, even though initially they somehow did.
I’d say avoid this hotel at all costs.
Wonderful Hotel! . Our room was huge and had an amazing view of Zeus's temple. The pool area is really nice with a deep, cool temperature pool for the hot days. the most amazing thing is the breakfast. It is out of this world. I have never seen such a selection of food items and to top it off the view of the Acropolis is unreal. Really wonderful place to stay.
Paid for the panoramic view room and got the smallest room with the smallest panorama. Again like everything in Greece what you see for hotel rooms is never what you get. Going to the buffet breakfast was like going to another hotel! The staff were stellar and the food was out of this world including the view!
Wonderful from the moment we stepped out of our taxi. Our room was just as we expected and more. This was our one super luxury stay on our trip to Greece and it was fabulous
The pillows could be improved but everything else was superb.
And 1/2 stars with a 5 star view from our balcony!!
Overlooked Temple of Zeus, Acropolis in sight as well as other tourists attractions. The hotel was an easy walk to every where we wanted to see in Athens. Staff was friendly and the breakfast served on the 7th floor was delicious, again with a beautiful view. We had apps and drinks in the evening, service was good and food was tasty. Room had a killer view but was a bit dated, two beds pushed together to make a king, beds/pillows/sheets/furniture/decor need upgraded. Bathroom clean with giant whirlpool tub but no stall shower. You probably will not spend a lot of time in bed if your in Athens visiting, so I would recommend for the convenience and the views.
A great location, just meters from the Plaka. The room was serviceable and not terribly expensive. The front desk was helpful and there was a wonderful pool in the inner courtyard. The rooftop restaurant was a real attraction. We had amazing views over the city, particularly the Acropolis at sunset and a wonderful dinner. Breakfast was very good as well. I'd come back here simply for the convenience.
Great location, rooms and staff. View from rooftop bar is fantastic. Great breakfast but rest of restaurant menu but limited.
Very nice hotel with mostly friendly staff, however, they were totally unprepared for the number of guests in the hotel even in the off-season. Waiting for lifts constantly ensures you get lots of exercise using the stairs. Breakfast was a wait of 20-30 minutes every morning for unspectacular hotel food. So arrive early.
Also was not told on last day that breakfast was not included. A party we were travelling with was also given a room with broken air conditioning that was impossibly hot which was interesting as it was quite cold in Athens at the time.
7th floor view was very good, although drinks in the evening was quite expensive with some rude staff.
Would not recommend staying here, my least favourite ruin in Athens.
Beautiful hotel, as the photos show. However, my husband and I stayed for our honeymoon, and was surprised to find our bed was 2 mattresses put together, and the mattresses we're very uncomfortable. Also, there's no air conditioning; we we're told to open a window. Of course it was just 1 window that opened and it didn't open very far. Though the food was good, the staff left us feeling like we were bothering them. It appears they cater more to conventions. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
Misleading photos from triple executive room and the hotel facilities made me to reserve one for this trip! What we received was one of the most disappointing room I ever stayed in! The room was not even at the level of a 3* hotel.
It was clean though, and the location was good. The view from breakfast hall (on 7th floor) was really great. However the breakfast was not diverse enough, mostly oriented based on Greek culture of yogurts.
Beautiful lobby area and bar with stunning views. Staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Breakfast was varied and delicious. However the room was basic and not what I would describe as 5*. It had a 15 year old box tv, bare walls and two single beds pushed together rather than a double. However it was nice and clean and good value.
