  Another Greek Night took place last night at Restia Suites. We would like to thank everyone who attended, in particular Mr Fanis Vitouladitis from Andriotis Olive Oil Company for sharing his knowledge during our very successful olive oil tasting session and for giving our guests the opportunity to sample unique Extra Virgin Olive Oil from different parts of Greece. We hope everyone appreciated our attempts to give you the history behind every dish and the chance to try high quality Retsina, Tsipouro from the mainland, Masticha liquer and dessert wine from Samos all accompanied by local cold cuts and cheeses. We look forward to next Saturday!

  Our Pietra Restaurant on the upstairs terrace is now open. We are delighted to introduce our signature dishes combining traditional recipes from Greek Islands with a modern twist. This is the traditional "Soufiko" from Ikaria Island with the addition of marinated octopus. Another unique dish included in the Half Board selection in the romantic setting overlooking the sea.   "After last year's success and continuous queries from our guests, we decided to continue the "Corfiot Night" with a few upgrades. Our "Wood Burning Oven" is finally here and everyone at Restia is excited to welcome it as a new member of the team. What better way to experience those sweet summer nights, we can enjoy a delicious local dinner sitting under the clear starry sky, listening to original live romantic Corfiot serenades (kantades) and enjoying a glass of red, or something!!!

  Always striving to find carefully selected wines from all over Greece for our guests, we are proud to introduce a new addition for our 2019's wine list, "The little Ark" by one of the most reputable wineries in Greece, the "Lantides Winery". It has arrived to steal our heart, by blending two of the most distinctive Greek white varieties Malagouzia and Assyrtikos. Full of freshness and liveliness this stylish wine with cool scents and a balanced body will become a reference point for this summer's list.

  We met it at an excellent wine-making experience and with it we discovered a unique white with character and spirit which we decided to include in Restia Suites' best of wines. More from our new wine list to come soon

  Due to our successful co-operation with the Corfu Beer Company all of these years, we now have the opportunity to offer two of their beers on draught as well as a whole range in bottles, Corfu Beer, being delighted with the establishment of our co-operation into other products, offers Restia Suites guests, free guided tours in their brewery showing the whole process of beer production in a lovely natural setting.

  In our constant endeavour to bring the best to our guests' tables, we are proud to announce the start of our co-operation with one of the most reputable companies on our island, Corfu sea Farm. All our sea bass and sea bream will be coming from a company that follows the strictest regulations in terms of quality at all stages of their operation, and even better, they offer guided tours around their premises for those guests of Restia who might be interested in watching the process of fishing and other aspects of the process and can even choose the fish they want to have for dinner that evening.

  We celebrate our 10th anniversary, and our Chef Fivos Tsiminos and his team, got inspired from the rich heritage of the greek islands, and together with the local fresh ingredients and modern ideas, is introducing a unique dining experience in our Pietra Restaurant. After many requests, we will be giving you some hints of the dishes Chef Fivos is working on. Feel free to give us your views on them.

  Zante's multi-award winning lentils, from the village of "Eglouvi", in combin...ation with the local Pancetta (pork belly) that is slowly cooked for 7 hours and served with a glazed sauce of molasses.

  Chef Fivos and his team are working intensively on the new menu and we will keep posting his ideas, so stay in touch!!

  We are happy to announce that we have applied to the Greek National Tourist Organisation for recognition of our Greek cuisine. As this is our 10th birthday (11 season in operation) it is especially important to us that we provide authentic Greek dishes containing a wide variety of the highest quality local ingredients for our guests old and new to enjoy. At the end of the 2018 summer season we became part of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels' innovative Greek Breakfast program which requires all participating hotels to ensure they provide quality and authenticity in the food and other produce they provide at breakfast. Striving to always fulfill our guests' requirements, we hope that we'll be able to offer an even more enriched and interesting culinary experience in the same intimate way.
